OXO Good Grips Splatter Screen

There is nothing worse than frying something which spatters all over the cooker. This Splatter screen does exactly what it is designed to do or at least 97% effective - just the odd spatter gets through. It is well made and in spite of being large does fit in the dishwasher. The folding handle is great and helps to store easily. A good buy I believe.

Great product, sits on top of frying pan well, needs to be cleaned regularly to limit smell from captured spitting fat or oil.

This is great value for money and a handy bit of kit if you're tired of cleaning fat splatter off your hob every time you fry something. It’s definitely improved the functionality of my kitchen routine – I get much less mess without needing to change how I cook. There is one small downside: the solid metal with relatively few holes traps steam in the pan, which can cause food to steam instead of fry if you're not careful. A design tweak with more perforations would really help. In the meantime, I just leave a slight gap at the edge – that gives me proper frying and still keeps the splatter contained. Bonus: it lets the smell of steak escape into the kitchen without the greasy mess. It’s a good fit for larger frying pans, and the foldable handle makes it easy to store. It’s easy to clean too – folds down enough for the dishwasher, but also quick to rinse in the sink. A solid option for reducing cleanup while keeping your food crisp. Would recommend, just be mindful of the steam issue.

Saw a couple of complaints, it’s too big and it doesn’t vent very well. I disagree with both these comments. The just over 13 inch so is ideal for a medium sized wok and steam escapes with no issues.

I bought this to replace a mesh screen splash guard that is diffucult to clean. Whilst the screen is easier to clean it is just too large to be used on the hob with other pans. It will be fine for use with my wok but not realy practicable for use on smaller frying pans when other utensils are being used on an adjacent burner.

Not only good for covering frying pans but great as a cake cooling stand too. As the handle folds it's easy to store this.

This wonderful invention arrived today so I haven’t had a chance to use it yet but can’t wait! It’s a great size and the added feature of the foldable handle makes it easier to store flat without taking up too much space. Well done OXO! You impress once again!

Sturdy build and good quality overall. But it is a little oversized for the average household pots and pans and it could be a bit tricky to position it depending on the pot/pan’s handle.

油はねが抑えられるので重宝しています。全体がパンチングメッシュになっているので蒸気が局所的に溜まる事もありません。サイズは30cmフライパンをカバー出来る大きさです。少し収納に困るけど、有るのと無いのとでは大違いです。

Good splatter screen that fits multiple pan sizes. Folding handle and dishwasher-safe means that this is easy to wash and store. Holes large enough to let steam escape while preventing oil splatters. Highly recommend.

Ótimo para não sujar toda a cozinha quando frita ou grelha algo. Serve pra vários tamanhos de panela e é super fácil de limpar e guardar

Tener presente que solo vale para las sartenes de la marca o si se da la coincidencia de que la que tengas sea del mismo diámetro en mi caso probé con tres y en ningún caso coincidió la medida.

Das wäre also der 3. Spritzschutz für dieses Jahr. Entweder die Teile zerlegen sich bei uns nach wenigen Wochen (Fackelmann) oder sind eher Deckel mit zu wenigen Löchern (dh man dünstet eher damit... Tchibo- Teil). Positv hier... man kann es zusammenklappen. Schöner Griff... griffig. Wirkt im grossen und ganzen stabil und sein Geld wert. Ohne dass man das Gefühl hat Schammas gekauft und nur die "Marke" bezahlt zu haben (WMF... Importware ohne Nutzwert). Mal sehen wie lange der hier hält. Auch positiv... richtig gross und für 32cm/33cm locker ausreichend. Fett bleib drin... Dampf nicht. Das ist schonmal was :).
