A very attractive piece and it grinds well. We will see how durable it is over time. My only surprise was that the grinder, which I expected to be at the end of the cylinder, was mid-way up the cylinder, therefore the amount of peppercorns you can place in it are half of what I expected. Being a small item to begin with, this was a bit disappointing.

First of all: I don't recommend the bright silver finish; even though the entire product is metal, it looks like cheap plastic from a distance. The product pictures don't show a very obvious seam on the sides that makes the grinder look, once again, like cheap plastic. PROS: The bottom reservoir is very useful for grinding a lot of pepper, such as for spice mixes. The construction is fully metal (as far as I can tell). CONS: It's difficult to fill -- the opening is small and curved, which makes it hard to fit a funnel -- and the opening comes open when I'm using it. The lever isn't very easy to hold onto for grinding, and despite the current product description, there is only 1 grinding setting (I don't recall if it claimed to be adjustable when I bought it or not). Conclusion: Not terrible for $15, but I don't like it enough to keep it in my kitchen.

Sharp spurs all over the outside of the grinder, I filed them down, because I really wanted to like this grinder. Cumbersome to adjust, and not what you want if you like medium to fine grind. Almost impossible to use for the less than medium grind that I want. Very difficult to turn crank and get the consistent grind for medium or smaller grind. Whatever coating is on this makes the holding chamber not fit well to the grinder. No instructions came with mine, but I have had other grinders and I know what to do. This is cheaper $ than many other grinders like it, and it shows.
