Need to be pure white for reflectors in photography studio** A: Hi, there is no black in the surface, but it is not what I would call pure white. As with most polystyrene foam, the foam is formed from bubbles, which are cut to make the sheets. This gives a certain pattern to the surface finish. I cannot say what the reflective properties would be - we used it to block light coming into our church windows when we were showing a video presentation and it is very successful in that role. **Q: Hi, is this item pure white or does it have black speckles in it? The surfaces were a good white and fleck free. **Q: Is this “closed cell” non absorbent?
