This kit has 4 micro sensors with a buzzer. The buzzer gives audible bleeps with increasing frequency as you get closer to an obstacle. The unit is activated when reverse gear is selected. When the vehicle is less than 1.5 metres from the obstruction the audible alert will emit intermittent bleeps. As the vehicle gets closer to the obstruction the frequency of the bleeps increases. At 30 centimetres from the obstruction the bleeps become a continuous solid tone, warning you that you should stop the car. The sensors are on cables just over 2m long and should cover the width of most vehicles but we do have extension leads if needed. You mount the brainbox in the rear of the car, traditionally in a side panel behind one of the rear light clusters, so the sensor cables do not have to run to the front of the car. You connect the brainbox up to the reversing light for its power supply. The buzzer is on a 2m cable length designed to be mounted in the boot area. Available in 32 Colours There are 9 coloured sensors in the range, the colours are baked on so will not crack as can happen with retro spraying. The sensors require a 18.2mm hole (cutter supplied in box) and have a 20mm outerface leaving a 1.8mm overlap. Took me 1hr30. 10 minutes watching YouTube on how to take the rear light assembly off, that was the most challenging part! Works really well.
