Review: As my headline suggests, there is not a lot to be said about a device as simple as this. Is your microphone output too low? Simply plug this in, connect your microphone to it and connect this to whatever you are using and "pump up the volume!" :) Also if your mic needs "Phantom power" it can provide it. Nuff said!
Review: I bought this To amplify my Sennheiser Microphones which I use with Dragon NaturallySpeaking for speech recognition. It is very solidly built and provides clean amplification. I changed out the power supply for third-party power supplies that I use with all of my audio equipment to make sure that there's no noise. The sound is very clear which is necessary for speech recognition. However, it does not provide any additional warmth like the ART preamps that I use for voice recording but it's about one third the price of those units. while the sound is a little dry, it doesn't sound unnatural on my zoom calls. I can't comment on singing are instrumental application since I don't do that.

**Q: Can I connect two microphones to the RO03 at the same time?**
A: No, you can only use one input at a time. The two input ports cannot work simultaneously.

**Q: Can I connect this preamp to an outdoor speaker?**

This review is about the Rodywell Microphone Preamp with 48V Phantom Power. Let's be real here - if you want to talk about S/N ratio and the best input designs, then look elsewhere. While quite adequate for most uses, this box will not win the AES award for best design. But it can turn an extra high-level console input into a microphone channel. I used the little box to allow our Allen & Heath desk local RCA jacks to accept two nat-sound/crowd mics at the balcony position at church. The noise is certainly low enough and the phantom power strong enough to work great with two condenser microphones. There are no pads, phase flippers or low cutters. Just pure decent amplification. The front panel red LED is a bit much so consider mounting away from line-of-sight. These problem solvers do not sound bad and are great for general purpose microphone inputs. Recommended!
