Quality brake controller.
Works just as good as the name brand. Easy to use and set up. Priced right and it is what I was looking for. I’m just the average guy pulling a trailer every so often. I recommend this product.

Great value for the features
I read through all of the other reviews several times before trying this unit out. But I will have to say it has worked quite well. I've only done one trip with it so far but it performed excellent. It was very easy to setup and install. One reviewer mentioned his ran hot but I checked this several times after 6 hour trip pulling an RV and noticed no issues both ways. When connected, the backlit screen is bluish color and when not connected it is red. The red light does stay on for awhile and I was worried about that when I saw that in a review but it does eventually shut off and will not drain your battery. I have only worked with the basic boost setting so far and not used any of the presets but if do will come back and update. For the price, it is a nice unit, especially if the lineage is what some have said.

Defective Unit - Company Backed It's Warranty Policy
Purchased this 11 months ago and the unit worked very well. Nice brake controller for the price. After about 10 months of use, maybe 4000 miles of trailering, the unit displayed an error. After verifying the wiring was not the issue and testing the unit in another vehicle, it was determine the unit was defective. Contacted Customer Service and explained the situation. Show them a video of the issue on the display. Within a few days I had the replacement unit at my door. Plugged it in to the truck and works perfectly. Sometimes electrical components go bad for no reason. The company selling the unit is not at fault with the defective product. The point is, the seller replaced the defective unit under warranty. Great company and will buy another control when I purchase my next truck.

Short lived.
I have regretted buying this since day one. I've been using a Tekonsha Primus for like 30 years, I just kept swapping it over every time I got a new truck. It finally failed last year so I decided to give this one a try. What A mistake. The tiny display is difficult to read. Changing settings is relatively easy, but it does require you to be looking at the display to navigate the menus. The Primus on the other hand has extremely simple controls to adjust power and sensitivity without taking your eyes off the road. If you want to see a visual indication of power level with the Primus it has a nice bright LED display that's easy to read. With this one you have to squint. This is truly a case of more technology making a worse product. But worst of all, this one started acting up after 16 months of occasional use. And unlike the Primus that failed safe (full power when braking), this one just randomly loses all braking power. I can't believe it took me this long to switch back to a Primus.

It works, it's a knockoff
It does work. It is basically a P3. There are some caveats however, at least per the aesthetic. Despite there being a menu option to change the screen color, it will not change. And in that menu that does nothing "Blue" is misspelled as "Bule". If you can live with that, it's worth the price for the job it does.

Good trailer brake controller
The trailer controller was simple to install and the hardware provided gives you options for mounting. I've installed it on a 2014 Chevrolet 1/2 ton Silverado and the controller works great. There are also options for controlling the bias on the trailer brakes. In the photos I did not have the trailer hooked to the truck. But when you hook the trailer to the truck everything and all the adjustments that you need are at your fingertips. While the trailer is not hooked up the display defaults to a red color as shown in the photos. When you plug in the trailer you can adjust your display to several colors options which is a nice feature. I pull a 16 ft. , dual axle, cattle trailer with a bumper pull hitch and I have no complaints about this trailer brake controller and I would recommend for pulling a trailer equipped with electric brakes.

Very easy to use and set up
In mt 2002 F250 this works better than my old Prodigy. Easy peasy to operate. Very adjustable, get it set for the trailer then depending on the load set the boost function accordingly when you are loaded. Thats how I do it anyway. I liked this so much, I bought one for my sons F250, and will be installing one in my 1/2 ton for pulling the car trailer.

It works but its SUPER hot. Like, it could burn my fingers... Is this normal?
It works just as described. Pretty easy to install. Pretty simple UI to navigate. My only compaint is that it get SUPER HOT. Like so hot I cant even leave my hand on it or it would burn. Is there something wrong with my unit?

The controller was a nice replacement for the expensive Teconsia version. But the display is already starting to fail. Warranty doesn't seem to be an option?

This ad is misleading, I thought I was buying a Tekonsha P3 but I think I ended up with a knockoff instead. I just got back from our trip and at first I thought I was just having a hard time getting the settings right for the trailer. I have a real Tekonsha P3 on another truck so it was surprising that this one was being difficult as the other one works great. Then I noticed the glitches were getting worse. The boost mode would start the trailer at 1.4V one minute and then over 5V a few seconds later when I touched the brakes on the same hill. Then it started at 2.6V 30 seconds later when I touched the brakes again. All three of these times the boost was set to level 2 and the brake pedal was touched just enough to cause the brake light to come on. The next day there was a time where the controller stuck on while we were trying to leave a gas station, luckily not fully on, but enough to apply about 1/4 brakes. It didn’t correct itself until I unplugged the unit and plugged it back in. I went on here to warranty the unit as soon as we got home only to find that the warranty window closed 5 days ago.
