Love the illustrations. ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Love these girls! *by H***R on 27 July 2020* Ah this is one of the gems I read when I was on my very long hiatus, I’ve read read everything that has been published so far and I know I may cry when this series end. Yes I love it. I never thought for the life of me that three girls going to university in England could be so delightful, Giant Days is a true gem. Let me introduce our girls - Susan Ptolemy - The one with the most common sense, she keeps the other two on the straight and narrow (most of the time), she’s a bit of a slob and you’ll be happy to learn she’s studying medicine! Esther de Groot - Goth goddess, fashion icon, attractor of men and women, drama queen, accident prone, student of English lit. Loyal friend. Life of the party. Daisy Wooton - She is said to 50% hair and 100% not ready for this world, she is sweet and innocent, raised by her loving granny. She is struggling a little with her sexuality and is definitely not prepared for drinking and partying. Archaeology student. They are polar opposites but as we all know opposites attract and these girls make a great team. In this first volume the girls deal with an influenza outbreak, Susan learns that her nemesis McGraw is attending the uni (think a young Ron Swanson) and fails to disguise her disgust at his being there (disgust of course in her case equal unrequited love), Esther attracts the attention of some disgusting boys and their online hottie list, and Daisy, well she has the most fun, She has a rather trippy night with the alluring Nadia and at the end of the night she befriends a talking pigeon. I love it, it looks lovely, it reads wonderfully, it makes me laugh and reminds me of my younger days.
