is there a zip on these bags?

Yes, there is a full width zip. Not overly strong though. However if just using for storage and not regular use they are fine for that or careful use. I haven't tried this but I would imagine that if the bag is overstuffed the zip may split apart from the centre.

what size is the bag?

approx size is 3ft long by 2ft high by 1ft wide very good and very strong have put bedding in them and stacked in loft

Is the bag big enough to fit a body pillow?

I thought this said "big enough to fit a body"! Anyways I've reread it XD I can't see why it wouldn't fit a body pillow, to be honest. It's not the best quality but if you're careful with it, I don't see why not.

Confused on measurements is this bag reaply 53x47cm?

Yes it is. I use mine for taking the washing downstairs. It holds a full load of laundry. Very useful. The sides measure 22cm.
