Do i just use this only for all my layers** A: This medium is technically adding more fat to the paint so be careful when using it in the first layer of paint. This is the information I was told by a rep of the Gamblin company. **Q: Does it thicken oil paint** A: No. It's a good medium to thin your oil paint. It also can be thinned to the point to use it as a glaze on your painting. **Q: Will this product help my oil painting to dry faster? Thanks in advance for any answers.** A: To an extent it will. Try using less titanium white if you are using any. Titanium takes a longer time to dry than flake white also if you set your painting in the trunk of your car during a hot day it will help speed up the drying process. Beware however drying the painting in the car can cause colors to shift slightly.
