Adding this product has stopped the leaking without too much inconvenience, and I did not need a plumber. I will get it sorted properly eventually, but for the moment, no leaking. One note, I think I installed it incorrectly at first. I put it at the end of the hose by the showerhead. This did not stop the leaking and made the showerhead heavy. Don't make the same mistake as me; install it at the valve side of the hose. Review: Good quality - This product is heavy and is good quality. Had it for a few months now and still no issues. Its valve really does control the flow of water. It doesn't seem to slow down the flow at the wide open setting and then if you want you can use the valve to slow down the flow to any amount (even stop the flow). I would recommend to buy this to others. ## Features - All BRASS Construction,Handle Made of Metal, not Plastic, ensuring quality and longevity - 1/2-inch Male IPS by 1/2-inch female IPS connections, fits most shower heads and shower arms - Can be used as shut-off valve or water saver valve,Installed between the shower arm and the shower handle - Simple to install and is simple to use - Comes with rubber gasket ## Technical Specifications | Specification | Value | |---------------|-------| | ASIN | B01767Q1VQ | | Best Sellers Rank | 55,092 in DIY & Tools ( See Top 100 in DIY & Tools ) 15 in Shower Flow Control Valves | | Brand | SUMNACON | | Customer Reviews | 4.6 out of 5 stars 398 Reviews | | Exterior Finish | Brass,Chrome Plated,Metal,Plastic,Rubber | | Exterior finish | Brass,Chrome Plated,Metal,Plastic,Rubber | | Inlet Connection Size | 0.5 Inches | | Inlet Connection Type | Cutting Ring | | Inlet connection size | 0.5 Inches | | Inlet connection type | Cutting Ring | | Manufacturer | SUMNACON | | Material | Brass | | Model Number | 15e8ad46-b633-4b40-a440-db5fa3d99c83 | | Number of Items | 1 | | Number of Pieces | 1 | | Number of Ports | 1 | | Outlet Connection Size | 0.5 Inches | | Outlet Connection Type | IPS | | Outlet connection type | IPS | | Part Number | IGN0076 | | Size | 1/2 inch | | Thread Size | 1/2 inches | | Thread Type | IPS | | UPC | 743062713708 | | Unit Count | 1.0 count | | Valve Type | shut off valve | ## Product Details - **Brand:** SUMNACON - **Exterior finish:** Brass,Chrome Plated,Metal,Plastic,Rubber - **Inlet connection size:** 0.5 Inches - **Inlet connection type:** Cutting Ring - **Manufacturer:** SUMNACON - **Material:** Brass - **Number of ports:** 1 - **Outlet connection size:** 0.5 Inches - **Outlet connection type:** IPS - **UPC:** 743062713708 ## Images ![IGNPION G1/2" Full Brass Shower Head Flow Control and Shut OFF Valve for Shower Head, Hand Shower, or Bidet Sprayer etc - Image 1](https://m.media-amazon.com/images/I/51USofaPBFL.jpg) ## Questions & Answers **Q: shower wouldnt turn water flow off. My isolation valve is in the loft. Would one of these valves stopped the water flow until i could fix showe** A: It only isolates the shower head. I can only suggest you us the stop cock under the sink, if the stop cock is there. It's the loft or stop cock which is the easiest ## Customer Reviews ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ did what I needed *by R***L on 13 December 2022* I had a leaking shower valve, I guess due to hard water in my area.
