Portable SSD 1TB External Solid State Hard Drive USB C Up to 1050MB/s

tiny, portable, fast

So I bought this little SSD 1TB drive for movies. I put a bunch of movies on it since I travel a lot. and it connects to my iPhone pro max through a usb c cable and than all you do is go to your Blue Files folder on your phone and than open up the drive and can watch any movies that you put on it. Which is super nice. It's super small and light weight as well. and well built. I love the fact I can add tons of movies on it and can watch either on my iPhone or iPad and don't have to use extra space on either for movies. This is nice as it saves me GB on both iPhone and iPad. Also just an FYI if your iPad or iPhone still uses a lightening cable sadly it will not work for you. as the lightening cable dosen't have enough power to turn it on and power the small ssd drive. Super easy to use and no set up don't need to reformat it or anything. super happy with this. As this is a huge game changer now as I can have 1TB worth of movies on it and can use it on an iPhone or iPad and no longer have to take my laptop to use to watch movies any more as I travel.

This SSK 1TB external hard drive has a very fast transfer rate. It was a great price also. It was easily compatible to my MAC and the storage capacity was perfect since I do use icloud for backup. I needed to backup to an external drive before upgrading to a new OS and this little hard drive did the trick in just a few minutes. It will also encrypt your data if you need it to. Great device.

I really wasn’t expecting this to be this small. Works really easy. Just plug and play. I’m using it to back up my photos and videos off my iPhone. The drive came with two cords. One is usb c to usb c and the other is standard usb to usb c. So it’s pretty modern to fit just about any device. The device is powered by my iPhone so you don’t need any additional power cords. Files are easily transferred from the phone to the hard or the other way very quickly.

Works well until it doesn't. Very small and decently fast data transfer rates. Purchased july 2024 and as of sept 2025 this ssd no longer works. This was used as a backup once per month, always ejected safely and stored in a desk. It now connects for a few seconds before ejecting itself. I'm unable to access the backed up data or run any disk repair on the ssd. The SSK site claims a 3 year warranty on SSD's, which after shipping back to them they sent a brand new ssd and paid for shipping. Hopefully this new one lasts longer...

Just received and so far I'm pleased with it. It is amazingly small! Just hard to imagine it is a 1TB drive in that small of a case! I am also pleased with the speed. On my Mac Studio with the SSD formatted as an APFS drive, I am getting about 800 MB/s W/R speeds (with the Blackmagic Disk Speed Test), which is pretty much the same as my several T9 SSDs. Can't speak to reliability as it is brand new, so keeping my fingers crossed on that point.

I recently got the SSK SD500 Portable SSD (1TB) and honestly… it’s been a huge upgrade for storing my content.First off, the size is super compact — it literally fits in my hand and is perfect for traveling (especially for events like Coachella where I’m constantly filming 🎥). The design is simple but sleek, and it even has a little loop so you can attach it to a bag. What I love:• ⚡ Fast transfer speeds (up to ~1050MB/s) — moving videos/photos is way quicker than my old USB• 🔌 Type-C connection — works with my phone + laptop• 💾 1TB storage — perfect for content creators (no more “storage full” panic 😭)• 👜 Portable & lightweight — easy to carry everywhereWhat to note:• The cable is a bit short, so you’ll need to stay close to your device• You may need to format it depending on your device (especially phone use)Overall:If you’re a content creator or just need reliable storage for photos/videos, this is actually a really solid and affordable SSD option. It’s been making my content workflow way smoother.⭐ Rating: 10/10

Facts: SanDisk is selling the SAME type of drive for only $10 more with a 3 year warranty, available contact info/support, upgraded firmware, and brand name backing. IF you decide buy this item I would STRONGLY recommend paying the extra $13-$15 for the recovery plan. I am very sad.Purchased in September 2024, died in January 2025. Never dropped it, never got it wet, clean ports, took very good care of it. NOTICE that the warranty information points you to the manufacturer/seller webpage where THERE IS NO further information to be found there. Hence, NO WARRANTY - only the standard Amazon 30 day return period. Can't find any SSK contact information. SSK is not registered with the BBB (at least not under that name). I would not ever buy anything SSK again - certainly not a storage device. This drive was easy to use, seemed to work well, good price & good reviews, etc. It seemed a little slower than expected (but I know that's pretty subjective). I was compiling files from multiple legacy source drives so I could have them all in one place on a "more stable" SSD. I had done a lot of work locating and copying and then one day Windows just stopped recognizing it. (This is, as you may know, worse than getting a DOA or short-lived drive because you begin to count on it and then lose all of your work.) Tried different ports, different machines, different cables, cleaned out the ports, disk management can't see it, none of the things worked. Lost my data and my money - data being the most frustrating for me.SanDisk is selling the SAME type of drive for only $10 more with a 3 year warranty, available contact info/support, upgraded firmware, and brand name backing. IF you decided buy this (SSK) item I would STRONGLY recommend paying the extra $13-$15 for the recovery plan.

I've purchased this twice now because I was surprised at how small and compact it is. Very good product, best external SSD I've bought recently.

Pocket SSD, 1TB with very fast transfer rate.I bought this SSD to store my plex programs it is hooked up through my Mac Air and its so much better than a normal external Hard drive. Price was OK but best on offer across Amazon and other platforms.
