My kids dug in forks, dinged all of the edges and gunked it up beyond repair. I also wanted something much smaller as the couch we bought is on the edge of the dining room. This table is great for them. Its small and surprisingly durable. The building process was a bit of a nuisance because the materials aren't exactly within tolerance which nearly caused the wood to split. There were missing peg holes as well. It's still staying together, so I suppose it is okay.
