## Description

Diitao 6PCS Robot AS5600 Magnetic Encoder 3.3V 12bit High Precision Induction Angle Measurement Sensor Module (12bit 3.3V): desertcart.com: Industrial & Scientific

Review: the first one Seems to work well - I'm using only 3 pins - vcc, gnd, and out. I did not need to remove any resistors to get this working, and am using an esp32 @ 3.3v, and analog read in my Arduino sketch. I have only tested one so far. Not sure why so many are saying to remove resistors. Maybe it's my voltage? Or maybe they fixed the issue. It may work out of the box for you as it did me. Update: I want to clarify that I have a short wire from GPO soldered to V+ (or u can just run a wire if using a breadboard) which means u don't have to desolder any resistors. DIR pin to either to ground or V+ don't leave that one floating. I still get fluctuations, but that helps tremendously. Update again, I have now used 3 of these. While the first remains relatively stable, the 2nd and 3rd one are not. Even averaging as many as 200 reads and it is still off by 2-3. Individual readings fluctuate by as much as 100. I cannot rely on that. I changed my review rating. Maybe the last 3 are better. I may have to try I2C instead of analog out to see if I get better results, but I was hoping to only use 3 wires instead of 4.
Review: The chips on these boards are not new AS5600s - I've made several purchases of these boards (from other vendors also) and had a problem with every one. If you just want to use these as a full scale 0 - 360 analog out then it will probably work fine - after you remove R4. However, if you want to change the output by programming the internal registers you will find that these chips have already been programmed or are defective. The registers on each chip can be programmed 3 times, and only once for the zero and span settings. Every board I looked at already had it's zero and span programmed to either 0-360, or 0-90 and displayed that only 2 more burns were left. I had to get replacement AS5600s from Digikey for them to work correctly. One other thing - if you want to use this board at 5V you need to remove R1. R1 is a zero Ohm resistor that connects the 5V and 3.3V pins on the chip. It is required of you are running at 3.3V but needs to be removed for 5V.
