As a fly killer this has been absolutely no use whatsoever.Our area has a fly problem at moment due to illegal dumping, even with a clean home we still get flies indoors. There always seems to be one or two at all times.So I bought this bulb and I am absolutely positive that this does not attract and kill flies in the same room, even when the only light source. I've left it on for several days nights and tried both modes. The flies are happy to land anywhere but the light, it is as if the light isn't even there. In all this time I've not heard a zapp or seen a dead fly near on on the light.To add insult to injury, the seller (stargifts) advertises a screw in bulb on the listing and product photos, but supplies a bayonet bulb complete with a letter telling you that listing is for a bayonet bulb (is this some kind of Jedi mind trick?) and that the packaging is wrong (the photo on the box is a screw in like the listing) and to ignore the "few errors you may have noticed". No I have no idea what is going on either.If you are the seller reading this, I would not have left such a bad review if you had had the honesty to correct your listings or email to advise of stock problems before sending out goods that people have paid for. If you are sending letters out with products then you can easily update your listing. ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐ Solved my fly problem! *by M***E on Reviewed in the United Kingdom on 3 December 2016* Though initially skeptical I ordered two of these as I have 2 kitchens in my home. At first I thought there would be no way that this could work but the hordes of fruit flies that had once invaded my kitchen have completely disappeared.
