There are two treads, both treads are the same measurements. 12 inches wide-left to right as you look from the back as if you were going to mount them, and 8 inches front to back. The bottom tread is 8 and a half inches from the floor and the top tread is the same distance higher from the first tread. Total height from the floor is 17 inches. Looking down on the steps when they are open, the top tread is 4 inches in front of the lower one. When steps fully opened 19 inches front to back and 16 inches wide. Folds down to 1 and a quarter inches by 16 and a half inches by 19 and a half inches for stowage. A good buy and worth the money. I'm about 95kg and these are rock solid so I can quite imagine they will take up to the 150kg stated. Though if you are 150kg I would suggest you can order someone else to go up the steps for you!These would be ideal to keep in the kitchen to reach the top of shelves and cabinets if you are vertically challenged. I use these for work to stick my nose in loft hatches and roof voids when inspecting - light, portable and well recommended. ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐ Compact and light(ish) *by 1***Y on 30 May 2014* Brought for use around my home, just going to start a round of decorating and thought these would be handy. I must admit i wasn't sure about them due to the cost (I'm used to work steps for my job and it's no saving having cheap lightweight ones if you're using them all day) and having seen them now I'm pleasantly surprised.Nice little unit, folds away nice and neatly, i like the little pull out plastic carrying handle in top step when folded (nice touch that). The steps themselves are quite sturdy if not a bit small in size being 30cm wide and 20cm deep with a textured surface for grip are good enough, although if you have large feet/boots it doesn't give much room when both feet are on top step, but I'm sure just for getting that extra bit of hight when needed they are fine, I'm guessing this is to keep the steps compact when folded.The folding/unfolding can be a bit quick if not paying attention, first time it very nearly 'bit' me, but now i've been using them and got used to how to do it no problem now.
