Star Wars: Clone Wars - Volume One [DVD]

This shows some fantastic interlinked stories, each just three minutes long, that fit together into a story arch, this is volume one, but you have to also get volume two. Minimal dialogue, action filled stories with highly stylized but impactful animation. If you are a fan of Star Wars, highly recommended!

This is a fantastic short film from the creator of Samurai Jack. If you're a Star Wars fan you need to check it out.

Just remember to watch it in intervals, one chapter at a time even though on the disc it's one full length feature, if you watch it all in a single run you might think it's too much action and too little plot, but remember this was released as 3 minute mini-features so if you watch one chapter at a time you'll enjoy it alot more...

They’re great. Some more money should have been invested in these as this is better than Episode 1 and a serious rival to episode 2 in terms of story. Would be a full 5 of there was more investment in terms of animation quality. Very happy with the seller and got the items quickly and in very good condition.

my son scratch my original copy of star wars clone wars so i was looking for a new one and found this second hand one and it was a very good price and the condition of the dvd was very good and very fast on delivery

Una pena que no haya ediciones contemporáneas de esta obra maestra de Genndy Tartakovsky en HD. Como complemento a la Trilogía Precuela, “Clone Wars” del 2003 es corta y bastante concisa en la historia que maneja (a comparación de su remake a cargo de Dave Filoni), sin embargo, sigue funcionando como una extensión bastante sólida del Episodio 2, y aunque los personajes se mantienen iguales a sus contrapartes en live-action, los eventos, peleas, y escenarios siguen expandiendo la saga de una forma sutil, entretenida, y efectiva. Una excelente adquisición para quienes aún añoren el Star Wars de la vieja escuela, para cualquier amante de la animación en 2D, y para quienes tengan gratas memorias de los 2000s y de la programación de Cartoon Network en ese entonces. El disco no solo cuenta con los 20 episodios de 3 minutos que consisten el Primer Volumen del show, sino también material adicional que cualquier fan y coleccionista de la franquicia debe mirar; comentarios de director, 2 special features-documentales sobre las Guerras Clones, bocetos, sketches, posters, y trailers tanto del Episodio 3, como de los videojuegos “Revenge of the Sith”, y “Republic Commando”. Y sí, los episodios vienen en doblaje latino a pesar de ser Región 1.

Premetto che sono un fan dell'animazione 2d e mi piace molto lo stile ipercinetico di Tartakovskij (l'autore di Samurai Jack e dell'opera qui presente). Il Disco raccoglie le cosiddette stagioni uno e due della micro serie Clone Wars uscite originariamente sul sito StarWars.com e successivamente trasmesse da Cartoon Network (la stagione tre è raccolta nel secondo dvd). Si tratta di micro episodi di circa 3-4 minuti che insieme raccontano un episodio della guerra dei cloni, di poco successivo alla fine di Episodio II, più altre vicende collaterali che si svolgono contemporaneamente. Lo stile è intenso, molto conciso narrativamente e dinamico nelle immagini, e globalmente, anche grazie all'unità spazio temporale delle vicende, il tutto sembra molto più in stile guerre stellari che non i nuiovi film (almeno fino a Episodio II). A mio parere vale la pena per appassionati di Guerre Stellari e non. Un po' esagerata la rappresentazione delle capacità combattive di alcuni Jedi che a tratti sembrano più membri degli Avengers, nel senso superumani.

Star Wars Clone Wars, gehasst und geliebt. Die hier auf dieser DVD enthaltene Zeichentrickserie ist wohl eines der meist kritisierten Star Wars Produkte überhaupt. Die Serie wird von vielen nicht ernst genommen und runter gemacht. Mag es an der Zeichnung liegen, oder auch an der Handlung, Star Wars Clone Wars ist für viele Fans einfach nur für Star Wars unwürdig, und kein Star Wars mehr. Doch ich persönlich finde es ist eine sehr gelungene Serie, die zwar unwichtig ist, und die man auch nicht gesehen haben muss, um andere Storys zu verstehen. Was mich aber wirklich überzeugt hat, sind die Zeichnungen der Serie. Sie sind eigentlich total einfach, sind voller bunter schöner Farben und voller Bewegungen, auch wenn sie die Figuren sich kaum bewegen. Das ist aber Geschmacksache, über die man sich streiten kann. In Clone Wars wird erzählt was zwischen Episode 2 und 3 passiert. Hier sind die ersten beiden Staffeln der Serie enthalten. Die dritte, die schon ein richtiger Film ist, ist auf der zweiten DVD enthalten. Es sind nicht zusammenhängende Geschichten voller Action. Ich fand es sehr interessant einmal die Höhlen von Ilum zu sehen, da ich sie mir eigentlich immer ganz anders vorgestellt habe. Auch sehr interessant ist die Suche von Count Dooku nach einer Attentäterin. So wird auch geklärt woher Asajj Ventress auf einmal auftaucht. Am Ende wird auch sehr gut dargestellt, wie Anakin leicht der dunklen Seite verfällt. Auch General Grievous bekommt seinen Auftritt. Hier sieht er zwar etwas anders aus, als in Episode 3, was aber nur ein kleines unwichtiges Detail ist. Insgesamt, sind alle Figuren sehr gut gemacht, wie Obi-Wan Kenobi, Anakin Skywalker, Mace Windu oder Kai-Adi Mundi, außer Kanzler Palpatine finde ich nicht so gut. Was man auch noch positiv erwähnen muss ist das fast alle die orginal Stimmen der Realfilme haben. Das bereitet, mit der sehr guten Musik von John William, Star Wars felling. Ich hab als erstes die Serie auf Englisch gesehen, und ich muss sagen das die deutschen Synchronsprecher viel besser sind. Deswegen rate ich allen sich die DVD auf deutsch anzusehen. Ich find es aber lächerlich, dass die DVD erst ab 16 Jahren freigegeben ist. Das ist einfach nur übertrieben. Man kann den Film auch schon viel jüngeren Fans zeigen. Ein großes Lob muss aber noch die DVD an sich bekommen. Sie ist sehr schön aufgemacht, und auch das Bild und der Ton sind von bester Qualität. Die DVD hat auch sehr gutes Bonusmaterial, wie zwei Fotogalerien, Regisseur-Kommentare, ein Republic Commando Viedeospiel-Trailer und Interviews mit George Lucas, Genndy Tartakovsky und den Clone Wars Produktions-Team. Die Fans, die Clone Wars wegen der vielen Ballerei, der sinnlosen Handlung und den übertriebenen Machtfähigkeiten der Jedi schlecht finden, kann ich durchaus verstehen, da der Film wirklich Geschmacksache ist. Fazit: Star Wars Clone Wars ist ein unwichtiger actionreicher Film, der aber sehr schön aufgemacht ist, und wirklich nett anzusehen ist. Ein sehr zu empfehlender Star Wars Film, denn man sich nicht entgehen lassen sollte.
