Exo Terra Gecko Cave, Large,Brown

I got this hide for my new leopard gecko and it’s perfect to use as a damp hide. Size wise it’s actually smaller inside than it seems and I’m really glad I got the large. The door to the hide is a good size but is a little way above the ground so if you have a smaller leopard gecko you may want to add a stone or something under it to help them climb them. I have it in a 4ft viv and takes up very little space. There’s still plenty of room for my guy though and he seems to be happy enough hiding out in there. The fact that it has a base and the whole of the top comes off makes it perfect to add moss and creat a damp hide for a leopard gecko to help with shedding. It’s easy to clean and the lip on the bottom of the base keeps the moss in place even when you lift the top off, so you can check it regularly for any mould or mess. The whole hide looks great and really natural and far more attractive than the homemade damp hides I’ve had for other reptiles. It isn’t the cheapest hide but it’s really practical and I do think it’s worth the money. Overall I’m really happy with this hide and would definitely recommend it, especially the large sized one for leopard geckos.

My leopard gecko loves this hide. Its filled with damp sphagnum moss and a few days before he is due to shed this is where he spends most of him time. The crickets love to hide in it too so a easy meal for the gecko.

Bought as a moist hide for our leopard gecko. Very solid and well made. Excellent size and gecko seems happy to go in it - added sphagnum moss but it does dry out quite quickly (easily solved by spraying with water). Would recommend.

Great size. Perfect for my African fat tailed gecko. Love how the top comes off for easy access. I’m not a fan of the glossy finish on this though. I have the Exo terra cave which is a matt finish which looks more realistic. But other than that I’m very happy.

We've got the medium size cave already. Unfortunately the leopard gecko had outgrown it. Amazingly, Exo Terra have the next size up available. The larger version was perfect. Realistic, hard wearing and easy to clean. 👍🏻
