Mind Hacking is Mind Blowing
John Hargrave has written a masterpiece. Not only is the topic incredibly interesting and a new view on mindfulness, it is punctuated by John's subtle wit and creative humor. The simple instructions are supported by numerous studies and real-life examples. John deconstructs a concept that has always remained elusive to most humans. The honest introspection, detailed research and relevancy in our technological age make Mind Hacking a must-read book.

I'm a grumpy, stubborn person but this book hacked my mind anyway
Changing habits has got to be the hardest thing a person can do. Habits are so easy to form, I don't even notice I'm forming them until they're creating a real problem for me. This book helped me see how to form habits that not only aren't holding me back, but are good! That might sound simple, but for me it isn't at all. I'm a grumpy, stubborn person, but I have to admit that once I got into the swing of making better personal choices it kind of started to be a hobby in and of itself. It's funny how I know something to be true, but I don't want to act on it until someone says it to me in the right way, and that's exactly what I got out of this book.

Great
This book was well done overall. It was written by a software coder/geek and he had an interesting way of framing things. I enjoyed a lot from this book, but got bored towards the end. I find a lot of books “write” for the sake of writing and I feel like all books could be condensed more. Would still recommend this book, epically to those who need help with “removing faulty thought loops”

A Brain Book I Understand! (poor page quality)
PROS: I've read many books over the past 20 years on improving the quality of your life by changing your thoughts. This the first one that I've connected with and have found easy to do. I'm a 62-year-old computer geek so that's part of it as he uses computer jargon and stories to make his point. If you're not into computers you might not enjoy it as much. He's got a free version of the book online but it's a bit tricky to access. However, that might give you an idea if you'd like to purchase the book or not. Rather than abstract concepts, which so many of the books tend to use, this one has step-by-step actions I have been able to easily understand and do. I've been amazed at the difference it's already made. He has free online audios and a PDF workbook to go along with the book. Though the paperback version has the same workbook pages in the back of it. So as far as helpfulness this is a five-star book for me. CONS: There are a couple of things I didn't care for. You have to sign up to gain access to the free files, which is fine. But his instructions are confusing. He uses an external website to send you the audio files daily. I found it difficult to find after I left it. He also references an application to go with the book but evidently it's not available anymore. And there's no explanation anywhere about it. References to that need to be removed from the book and from his website which doesn't appear to be kept up to date. That was very disappointing. Especially for a guy who's a computer geek. Keep your stuff up to date man! I purchased The Kindle version first which is what I normally do. But because I found it so helpful I decided to also purchase the paperback version to aid me in the daily steps. I just received it today and I was disappointed and surprised to find the quality of the paper is like that of old trade back paperback books. Not sure how to describe it. And not sure the photo shows it. I haven't seen a book with this old dingy flimsy paper in a long time. Normally those type of books are a lot cheaper but this one wasn't. SUMMARY: Despite those technical issues I mentioned I can easily see this book being life-changing for me as it's already made an impact and I'm only halfway through it. This is partially because I connect with his method of teaching using geeky hacker stuff. Because I've read so many other books on the topic, there are many concepts in this book that connect to some of those, but he has made it much easier to understand and implement. For me anyway. Because of the changes I've already seen, I look forward to learning the rest of the techniques. It's been a fun journey.

This book has been the foundation for tremendous growth in my life. I hope you give it a chance and go through it. Learning how to separate my mind from feelings, emotions and reality has been life changing.

Sir Hargraves is now on the required reading list!!
If you've read Prank the Monkey, you know what a great author Hargraves is. I bought this because I loved the Zugg comedy and have always been a follower of the things John is doing. I was NOT disappointed! This book blends the kind of pragmatic real world comedy I love from Sir Hargraves, and also delivers the intellectual hackery that the title boasts in large scale order. BRAVO

Just get it Alright!!
Seen this at my library first and after about 3 weeks with this book, i was like i have to own this book. I dont normally buy books but this one is so worth I believe. It is so well-put, very straight forward, and really great concepts to change the way we think and act. How to ultimately become the master of your own mind!

Please ignore negative reviews!!
Ignore the negative reviews. Agreed, the information in this can be found in other books, but if you haven’t read other books then this is very useful. This book has helped me through some dark times. The reason this book is so anecdotal is so you can try to relate to some of the stories and their analogies. This book puts CBT into Lehman's terms so it’s easier to understand and to put into practice. If you’re struggling with anything from addiction to social anxiety or depression then I would say this is definitely worth a read. The stories are comical at times and gives an underwhelming approach to undergoing CBT - which is a good thing! You don’t feel like you’re being mentally overloaded with the gruelling journey of self help. This is an easy 5-Stars for me, and even if my review only helps one person get through this book and overcome any mental illness, then that is reward enough

I like the way it was written
I haven't finished reading it, and probably no where near hacking my mind, but the book grabbed me immediately, and I read a little bit almost every day.
