Worth a chance
Amazing strings! Compared to nylon, these are remarkably more bright and they sound so lovely and lifeful. I love the alive and clear sound of these strings, they have a lot of soul and they make my playing sound more premium and the tone has a slightly different 'colour' pallet which makes them perfect for me. No concerns from me, and I actually prefer them generally. 10+ years playing and comparing different string sets

Fine strings with a metal like tone
I love these strings. They came fitted on my Taylor 12eN and in this way I grew to like them. I have been playing and changing strings since I was 7 and Im now in my 50s so think Ive got a good grasp of it by now, both nylon and metal, and wanted a cross over nylon string guitar which for me is the 12eN for mainly folk, finger style material and these strings are part of the package for that sound in my opinion. The carbon strings I feel give a very cross over sound and feel good if your used to playing metal strings. They still have a lovely smooth nylon response and tone, but if played right can sound in a different class all of their own. They lend my own songs a style which Im glad seems to be individual, not too classical sounding, yet not too harsh as some metal strings can be, an in-between. Ive just fitted a set to the Taylor, and this is the first change it has had since new. Reading a previous review, Im hoping that a string doesn't break soon, but will update if I find this. I have played on the previous set the guitar came with now for about 8 months till I thought they was sounding dull and needed replacing. I have at times a very hard finger playing style with my nails (no plectrum though, as some people do with nylons these days), and can say that Ive not had any problems at all with snapping etc, so fingers crossed. On fitting I found that the top 2 strings (top B&E), needed 3 loops to hold them at the bridge end, as when tension was turned up the knot would come out. Update. Been on over a week now with no issues at all. Keeping full tension, playing on them hard and sounding a dream. I think because of the high tension of these strings, and the thinness of say the top E string, it’s best to go careful with them when bringing them up to full tension for a while. I have been very cautious with this set, and brought up to standard tuning very very slowly to avoid snapping as mentioned by other reviews, but I’d still rather fit these than other strings.

Fantastic strings
Fantastic strings - first time trying the EJ46FF carbons so was a bit of an experiment, but seem to be a perfect partner for my Yamaha NTX5, a fussy guitar where strings are concerned. These are quite loud, with a warm, deep presentation, lots of expression and really pleasant to the touch, be it flesh of nail playing. Previously, with regular D'Addarios, it sounded far better amplified than when played acoustically. It's now great either way and makes the guitar sound like the expensive instrument it is. Will be buying these again.

String snapped
First string kept de-tuning when trying to tune up. When correctly tuned it snapped. After contacting D'addario they are sending me replacement sets. Also i have now got used to these strings and they are actually louder , brighter and have more projection than my old EJ46 sttrings.

Bright tone and great feel
Very clear, bright tone and excellent projection. The carbon trebles feel smooth and responsive, and the tension is comfortable for long practice sessions. Easy to tune and stay in tune well. Fantastic upgrade for classical guitar players – highly recommended

These strings have an excellent sound
I tend to make my strings last a very long time but my last set were so poor that they were replaced within days. These are a superb replacement. They are plenty strong enough for tuning to concert pitch. They have a nice resonance giving great sound and volume. They are easy on the finger tips too.

Extremely bad strings, better avoid.
Awful strings. I don't understand good reviews for them. First string has got blown and shot off at the bridge after 1 HOUR they'be benn installed. I've never had this with a fresh strings before. And when I tried to get the string from a peg to put it in a bridge again, I found that the string has got corrupted somehow inside a peg, so I could not fix the accident. Quality is low. And< the third string IS NOT CARBON. It's milky and seems to be a regular nylon. It does sound dull compared to 1 and 2. 1 and 2 are super bright with a lot of high frequencies, but they don't have a resonance. Just an empty screamy sound. I've tried 3 Dadario strings, XTC44, EJ45, EJ45FF, they are all horrible, will never buy Dadario again, total scam.

Snapped and damaged my guitar. I'll stick to regular nylon strings.
Tuned the strings to standard tuning, but the treble strings wouldn't stay in tune. About a week later I woke up to find the strings had snapped overnight and had left a gash on my guitar's top where the strings hit the top. I regret trying these. They damaged my instrument, and were a waste of money. I've never had the treble strings snap on me before in maybe over 17 years of using D'Addario nylon strings. I cannot recommend these carbon strings. On the sound, they are brighter than the regular nylon strings I've used before. If you prefer a rounder, mellower classical sound, these won't do. If you like the brighter sound, closer to a steel string acoustic, then maybe these will work if they don't snap like mine did. They look thinner than regular nylons, and they appear to have higher tension (I bought normal tension ones), which is perhaps why they broke. Perhaps because of the higher tension, they also feel a bit louder and punchier, but not as deep.

Worst strings ever!
I bought this in September (2022) but only got to string one of my classical guitars with it last Sunday (201122), looking forward to a beautiful rich sound. When I opened the packet, I noticed that the G string had a flaw in; kind of like little fray. I decided to go ahead anyway. Immediately after stringing the guitar, the sound was indeed beautiful; warm harmonics. However, the very next morning, after retuning, I discovered that all the treble strings were completely flat - dead - no harmonics whatsoever. A snare drum has a great deal more than those strings. A few minutes later… twang! The B string of all strings snaps. I restrung the guitar with Hannabachs and now my 1970 Yairi Gakki sounds beautiful again. Please note, this is not a dis of all Daddario strings. I like them and use them all the time, but this particular Carbon set is definitely a dud. Fortunately Amazon immediately reimbursed me following the return of the dud set. I would definitely NOT recommend this carbon set to my worst enemy.
