I have the clear, transparent one. it does shield my eyes from glare sparks (but not brightness) and metal chips. but if you are using this to do metal work, your face may not be protected. The brightness from welding may damage your eyes.

Can these be used for working with blue light laser engraver?

The stop the photochromic layer on normal spectacles from changing colour, but I would be hesitant to use them for protection properties not listed as tested in the product literature.
