Hercules Ds571bb Travlite Violin/Viola Stand

As someone learning to play the violin on a more casual basis having it tucked away in the case made it easier to shrug off practice. Buying this stand made it far more readily available to pick up and play, with tidy spots for all accessories (bow holder and a small tray). It's also wonderful to have the violin on display! The mechanism to hold and release the violin works with gravity, and there is sufficient padding to alleviate any concerns of damage. It's simple to set up and pack away - coming with a tidy bag should you need to store it. A fantastic piece of kit!

I'm very happy with this product (although I've only been using it for two days). I received it the day after ordering. I use it for an F-style mandolin. It's easy to use, secure, well made, and it looks good, even in the living room. Before I got it I was a little dubious about the neck-securing system; but it is fool-proof, and I definitely trust my beloved £x000 mandolin not to fall out. For fiddle players there is a bow stand and what I think is a rosin tray (I don't really know). Only time will tell, but I think it is great.

Holds the violin well and has a good bow hook as well. Resin holder tray is a bit of a faff but it does work. Whole stand can be knocked over pretty easily, so be careful where you put it.

Easy to set up and take down, comes with a nice travel sack, (although you provide free advertising).

Pros: The stand looks good and serves its purpose well. It's easy to set up and folds down to a compact size. Cons: The clips used for height adjustment are made of extremely flimsy-looking plastic - not the typical hard-wearing materials I would expect from this brand. Definitely not built to last, and for that reason overpriced.

I hesitated a long time before ordering this stand because I worried about the clasp to hold the violin. I shouldn't have worried - it's perfect. The violin rests perfectly - the clasp doesn't touch the strings. At the bottom the violin rests on padded legs. The stand will hold 2 bows which are easy to hang on and take off. I use it for gigs as well as at home. It is light to carry, great bag which you can put over your shoulder but it's also stable. Perfect stand.

This is an attractive & profession looking violin stand. I like the mechanism for holding the neck of the violin, where the weight of the instrument activated the clasps to hold the violin instrument on. Only down side is that with having 3 legs, the stand could be knocked over fairly easily. Would be better with 4 legs.

I have had one of these stands for over 3 years now and use it all of the time. It is fabulous and the catch system holds the instrument securely, while the wide spread legs ensure that it does not easily get knocked over. Use it for the practice room as well as for concerts. Love it!

Les supports de violon ou alto ne sont pas encore démocratisés, au contraires de leurs équivalents pour instruments à vent mais celui-ci devrait faire son chemin. Ultra-léger et de petites dimensions une fois replié, il offre une bonne stabilité et son attache astucieuse permet de limiter le risque de chute. Ses supports télescopiques permettent de l'adapter facilement à toutes tailles d'instruments de violon ou alto. En complément un support pour colophane bien pensé car on ne sait jamais où la poser. Idéal pour ceux qui, comme moi, se retrouvent souvent à alterner violon/alto au cours d'un même concert.

Pros: sturdy (w/ the part that holds the violin seeming particularly resistant to pressure), packs into a small case, comes with a travel bag, bow holder feels sturdy enough to support a bow or two. Does practically everything I want a violin holder to do. Cons: I don't have much use for the rosin holder and does not stay on when trying to fit the violin holder into the case. Won't take marks for this though since I don't find this to be much of a downside in the first place and it does well in every other relevant area. Overall: fantastic item. Highly recommend for all my fellow violin players. Makes the barrier to practice so much lower, since you can just pick it up off the rack, and performing is a lot safer knowing your violin is protected from falls.

He comprado este soporte para mi viola y estoy encantadisima. Tiene unas patas robustas a diferencia de otros soportes que he comprado, el instrumento esta muy seguro en el. Puedo dejarla con la almohadilla de la viola puesta, para asi en cuanto quiero tocarla puedo hacerlo sin tener que perder tiempo en montarla. Ademas lleva un soporte para el arco e incluso un hueco para dejar la cera. Merece la pena comprarlo
