Can you just wash the filter and reuse it?

Do these produce harmful ozone because of the UV light technology?

It is my understanding that the addition of the titanium dioxide component catalyzes everything into water vapor and CO2 while also boosting the anti-bacterial/viral qualities. However, I have never replaced the UV-C light so I haven’t looked to see how long the titanium dioxide component lasts. (Anything that catalyzes has a “shelf-life” so to speak because all the material is used up.) Good question!

I just purchased a replacement filter flt4825. the new filter fits however the unit will not turn on. any advice?

Check the safety switch under the bottom edge of the filter, be sure that the filter is engaging and pressing the switch down all the way.
