Very impressed with the quality of each board and finished edges, will buy these again

A4 plywood, great for craft projects. The wood is smooth, good quality. But you might want to sand it down and varnish it to avoid little splinters. If you want it really smooth, sand with a fine grain, then varnish, sand again, then varnish again. The more tools you have, the more inventive you can get with these ply sheets. You can drill holes, like a hole puncher, to add to an A4 folder. Use for A4 hand made book covers. Pyrography perhaps. Relief carving for printing. Cut out shapes to make models. Make unique desk tidies, or other mini furniture pieces. Use as a backing for framed photographs. Options are endless, have fun!

The Birch Plywood Sheets offer excellent versatility for various projects. Cutting through them is a breeze, and they respond well to laser work. Although needs at least two passes to cut out on laser cutter. However, my initial excitement was dampened as all sheets arrived warped. It took some effort to wet and flatten them before I could use them, which was a bit inconvenient. Despite this setback, once flattened, they proved to be a reliable and quality building material. Overall, a solid choice for crafting, just be prepared to address potential warping upon arrival.

Very clean and works great on a laser engraver

I love your wood but I can't use these

Bought this plywood to complete a project of a set of laser cut small wooden boxes for my desk to hold odd bits and pieces. When it arrived it was in a standard delivery bag, upon opening it the plywood was strapped together with standard plastic binding strapping no other packaging, the plywood was a little bit warped which is not unusual with 3mm boards but also felt a little damp. This was confirmed when cutting it as I had to add an extra pass with my laser from the previous ply I had bought to cut through it. I also found that despite using Air assist it would rather burn and smoke than cut through leaving a lot of soot and it still didn't always cut cleanly did some times not others. This left some areas having to be cut out with a craft knife leading to some parts splitting when removing them. As it was for my own use I was a bit disappointed but it will do the job, but I defiantly wouldn't have used it for anything I was making for a gift. I completed the job but I won't be purchasing this again.

Ho acquistato questi pannelli per la seconda volta, quindi direi che già questo dice molto. Li utilizzo regolarmente per lavori di artigianato e incisione laser con XTool, e nel complesso sono perfettamente in linea con le aspettative. Il legno è buono per questa fascia: superficie abbastanza uniforme, facile da lavorare e soprattutto reagisce bene all’incisione laser. Con i giusti settaggi si ottengono incisioni pulite e definite, senza comportamenti strani o bruciature irregolari difficili da gestire. Un aspetto che apprezzo è la costanza generale del materiale: ovviamente essendo legno naturale ci sono leggere variazioni, ma niente di problematico. Basta fare un minimo di test iniziale e poi si lavora in modo abbastanza prevedibile. Lo spessore da 3 mm è versatile, adatto sia per incisioni decorative che per piccoli progetti di taglio. Tiene bene la struttura senza risultare troppo fragile, il che è sempre un buon equilibrio per questo tipo di lavorazioni. Chiaro, serve un po’ di pratica — come con qualsiasi materiale — per trovare i parametri giusti e ottenere il massimo, ma una volta presa la mano il risultato è più che soddisfacente. In sintesi: - Buona qualità del legno per lavori artigianali - Ottimo comportamento con incisione laser (XTool) - Superficie lavorabile e abbastanza uniforme - Ideale per progetti creativi e fai-da-te - Riacquisto già fatto, quindi promosso Consigliato a chi cerca un compensato affidabile per iniziare o portare avanti lavori di incisione e taglio laser senza spendere cifre esagerate.
