Twice it fell apart in my hands whilst trying to unplug it, and it was also very difficult to insert, even after lubricating the "O" rings. The pipe itself was far too rigid, and the angle the unit comes out of the caravan pointing downwards (what a stupid design), makes it difficult to use on an uneven pitch. The final straw was when it blew a 10amp fuse in my caravan, and finally stopped working completely whilst we were away on holiday. Do you get the feeling I didn't like the Truma pump? After reading many reviews of this pump, I decided to try the Whale one instead. It worked out of the box first time, and so far I have had no problems with it. It clicks in to the socket in the van perfectly, doesn't leak and is easy to insert and unplug. The hose is much more supple and the Aquaroll can be placed in any position, without the pipe kinking. The pump is much quieter and appears to pump the water faster than my old pump, so really pleased with that. Time will tell if it proves reliable, but so far its been excellent. Review: So much better than the normal Ultraflow Pump - Bought this after my Truma Ultraflow Pump broke. That had always been annoying to plug and unplug. This design from whale for the Ultraflow works so much better. It fits the water pump socket well and locks in place easily - no more wiggling and messing with pump to stop it leaking It has a handy hook to hold the pump up when you are changing the barrel - no more muddy/ grassy pump The angle that the hose comes from the caravan once attached is much better (more horizontal), and the pipe is more flexible. If you are on uneven ground it was a nightmare with the Truma pump to get it to fit into the aquaroll if there wasn't much ground clearance. It has a cover for the plug end to keep it clean when not in use. Its a much better product as well. Finally it's significantly cheaper too. ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Truma frustrations dissolve with this amazing Whale replacement. *by A***A on 15 January 2023* We’ve had our Swift Conqueror caravan for nearly seven years and endured THREE faulty Truma pumps which are so badly designed that no matter how carefully used break easily. Then I was just introduced to this Whale pump that is so compatible and better to use than I could ever have imagined. It is very robust and MUCH better designed. Fitted my caravan inlet like a glove so much more easier with the press button connection. The hose is far superior and much more flexible and it’s a great idea to be able to hook the pump off the ground when taking away the aquaroll to refill rather than the pump be left to contaminate on dirty grass or hard standing. WHY couldn’t Swift and Truma come up with thus better solution.
