desertcart.com: The Haunting: 9780593481516: Preston, Natasha: Books Review: Sooo hauntingly good! - Sooo good! Iโve recommended this book at least 50 times in the past year. Review: Scream style Slasher - Natasha Prestonโs books are always really easy to read. I finished this in only a few hours. So if youโre looking for a quick thriller, and donโt mind YA, I recommend this. This book reminded me of Scream. Small town slasher during Halloween, and a bunch of teens are the targets. And per usual, said teens make terrible decisions. Scream style, theyโre aware of how some of the decisions are dumb and likely to get themselves killed. It was a fun read. Really well written, and kept my interest from start to finish. And to wrap it all up, Iโd like to express how much I DESPISE how this author ends her books. Thereโs never any closure, just an abrupt end. And yes, Iโll likely torture myself again in the future with another of her books.

Perfect October Read
I couldnโt put The Haunting down! It had just the right mix of creepy and mysterious without being over the top. The story kept me hooked the whole time, the tension built up slowly. It definitely gave me chills in a good way. Such a great read!

I truly wanted to say that I loved this read, but it wasn't my favorite. Not a bad storyline, I just was expecting more

Unsatisfying Ending Alert
The story overall is good. It's exciting, entertaining, well written, but what's with the ending?! I don't want to spoil anything, but just know that the ending is abrupt and has zero closure.

Another hit by Natasha Preston!
As always Natasha Preston knocks it out of the park! This thriller follows Penny and her friends in their small town one year after a killing spree of highschoolers exactly 1 year ago. The killer happened to be her now ex-boyfriend's father, a week prior to Halloween. The town shuns her now ex-boyfriend Nash and his sister Grace for their fathers wrongdoings. Even though they had nothing to do with it, and their father is now in prison. They have been outcasted and have no friends, and Pennys parents forbid her to see Nash anymore. Everything in town goes back to normal once the killer is caught. But one year later, the murders happening again the same way they as the year before. Is this a copycat killer? Are Nash and Grace following their fathers path? The twists and turns of this book kept me wanting more. I thought I knew who the killer was, I thought I knew who was being shady. But turns out I was only half right. Another YA thriller, another win in my book! As always her book ends on a cliffhanger, and I have a love hate relationship with that. But man did I wish I had closure with this one! Thank you to the publishers and netgalley for the ARC!
