The ZV-E1 is Sony's first vlog camera with a Full-frame 12.1 MP1 Exmor R image sensor that is optimized for 4K and delivers 15+ stops of latitude, low noise, high sensitivity, and gorgeous full-frame bokeh. It can record 4K movies with direct pixel readout and 10-bitdepth and 4:2:2 color sampling using Long GOP or All Intra compression, making it possible to grade for fuller, more natural gradations while generally providing greater editing freedom. Cinematic Vlog Setting provides an intuitive way to create scenes that look like feature movies. By choosing a Look, Mood and AF transition speed, anyone can create cinematic vlog footage that ideally matches the scene and creative intent. Honestly, even if it did, the beauty of this camera's sensor beats everything, from the dual native ISO to the amazing SLog 3 profile. I’ve been running the ZV-E1 as my primary studio and field rig, and it's hands-down the most capable compact full-frame camera I’ve used. The video I capture makes me look like a much better photographer than I am. Almost everything on this camera is automatic or has an auto feature which is great for people who are just learning. This is hand down one of my favorite purchases ever. Truly my dream camera.

### ⭐⭐⭐ Great sensor.. but that’s about it

Same sensor as the FX3 in a more compact body for $1000 less seems like a no brainer. But it just looks and feels cheap. All plastic and it’s not weather resistant. I also don’t like the lack of physical controls. I find myself fiddling with the touchscreen way too much. Much harder to build that muscle memory I had in previous cameras. And I cannot stand the zoom lever. I always inadvertently hit it when I’m reaching for the power switch. Will be returning for a more rugged hybrid like the a6700 or A7Cii.
