Feeds the fish
It's a fish feeder. It does everything I want it to do. Its rechargeable. It supports multiple schedules. The amount of food your fish get is based on how much you put in each slot and how often you schedule it to feed them. I use 1 on my saltwater/coral tank and 1 on my fresh water cichlid tank. It lasts over a week for both tanks. It could go longer, and the battery is not the concern - it's the frequency/amount of food you need to provide. My saltwater tank requires multiple smaller feedings per day vs the cichlids which get a large feeding once per day. If you are going to be gone multiple weeks and require multiple feedings per day you might need 2 of these on your tank. They are easy to program, so it should not be hard to figure out how many slots to feed per day. Only word of advice for anyone purchasing these is to keep a ~70% battery charge on them when you are not using them. If you are like me, you only use them while you are on vacation. In that situation, if you store this with 0% battery charge you will ruin the battery. Storing at 100% charge is not great, but better than 0%... ~70% is optimal for lithium batteries. (This advice it to get the longest life you can possibly get out of the battery!. Lithium batteries are delicate and require maintenance! Don't blame the product if you let the battery sit at 0% charge for a year and it doesn't work when you want to go on vacation)

Sets Up Nice (Will Update as I use it)
(EDIT 10/26/2024) The unit finally died, only noticed when I noticed the fish seemed more excited about me coming over to the tank. I was initially worried since I saw some reviews stating the unit wouldn’t charge. Luckily, it plugged right in and charged up quickly. Because it fully died, I had to change the time a little bit so it actually lined up with the correct time. Other than that, it’s doing fine! I put it back on top the tank and made sure it had food. No issues from me so far. Condensation on the bottom of the unit from previous review doesn’t seem to have affected the food. (EDIT - 4/6/2024) The feeder seems to be going great! My fish have learned where the food is and they seem to be doing well. I have noticed a little moisture on the bottom of the feeder but I don’t think it will cause issues. It doesn’t seem to have any moisture buildup inside the unit’s feeding sections but I will check occasionally. I use flake food which works but SUPER tiny flakes sometimes get caught underneath the walls when it rotates. Not an issue for me. May require cleaning but as of right now it doesn’t seem to be an issue. It drops probably 99% of the food into the tank. I still have not had to charge it. (2/29/2024 - First Day) I just set this thing up on the top of my 40-gallon tank. I have an Aqueon top with a plastic strip and a hole cut into it. The feeding window is almost the same size as the plastic strip, so I hope food doesn't get caught on the top. Opening the book, it was fairly simple to set up. The buttons were a tad confusing but using some common sense I managed to figure it out nicely. I set it for 1 feeding a day and tested the manual feed button. It seemed to work well so I loaded the food. I am using flake food, which might get caught in the walls but I guess we will wait and see. It seems like decent portions for my 40-gallon; I only have a few smaller fish, some snails, and plants and it can easily fit my usual feeding amount in each spot with plenty of room. I used the suction cups to mount it on the top of the tank instead of the clamp, which slips off nicely. The suction cups seem to hold it but I wouldn't trust it to hang over a precarious edge. One of the suction cups seems to slip and the unit can be pushed slightly left and right. It took a few hours to be "full charge", so we will see how long it takes before the charge ran out. It wasn't a bad price compared to other feeders on the market. I like this one because if this does work, it has the benefit of being able to easily set the amount of food unlike rotating barrel feeders. The fish were first confused where their food was since this is their first automatic feeder so I will be monitoring it to make sure it is dispensing food properly.

Works well, even with tiny food
I was concerned that the tiny amount of very fine food I feed my betta would get stuck. It works great. I programmed two feedings a day with just 4-5 tiny pieces of food and none got stuck. It’s easy to program and with some minor adjustment to my lid, there is just a small opening for the food to drop in so I don’t get excessive evaporation or possibility of a fish jumping out. I’ve use it three times for a weeklong trip with success. P

Great for aquariums with lids
Tried several auto fish feeders, and the others (esp the ones that look like the shape of a gun dispenser) will dispense way too much food, which is a nightmare if you're using this for a trip and don't have anyone else to care and feed for your beloved pet fish. I like that you can determine how much food per feeding will be dispensed, and you can set a timer so that it feeds three different times throughout the day (or you can opt for just once). The other autofeders that I tried requires you to attach the feeder to one of the aquarium walls, which didn't work for my setup because I have fish that jump, and so, I prefer a lid over my aquarium. This feeder is excellent if you use a lid and it has a feeding hole. To do this, I placed it right above the feeding hole, and it dispenses pretty well at the time(s) you set. If you prefer to afix the feeder to your aquarium wall, it comes with a screw and stand so that you can do that too. I like the versatile options! It is wireless and charges pretty quickly, and the charge lasts a long time. The last time I charged it was almost 2 weeks ago, and I haven't had the need to charge it yet. One caveat is that though it works really really well, you might need to train/condition your fish that the food will come from the feeding hole if you don't use the hole on a regular basis or an autofeeder. After a week or so of training my fish, he knew to come up in the morning for his food. Otherwise, the food would've just floated away, dirtying the water. This autofeeder is exactly what I was looking for in terms of ease of setup, reliability, and amount of food dispensed. This will save me time and money from asking friends or others to stop by and care/feed my fish. When traveling and no one is checking on my fish, I set up a Blink camera to ensure all is well with my pet. The Blink camera and this fish feeder are a game changer for anyone looking for an auto feeder!

Possibly the best one ! I have no issues with setup and use
I’ve ordered this item several times for my larger aquariums. They work incredibly well if you set them up correctly and use the correct type of food. I do not use flakes. If you place this near water that splashes up it will not work correctly. Place it away from filters and bubblers. The food will go bad/clump if you do this. It’s very easy to setup and easy to test. You can set up a specific time for it to dispense. The charge lasts for several weeks worth of use.

I had no idea I needed this.
Update September 18, 2025. It has been laying on the couch for months unused. Today,I plugged it in to charge and it working perfectly. I guess a piece of food was stuck and caused the previous issue. Upade August 25, 2024. I have been on several weel-long trips and this feeder has worked great. Until it didn't. I was gone for a week and it seems the feeder only worked once although it is set to feed 2x/day, every day. Turtle is fat and healthy so she survived. I charged and filled it before I left so maybe a piece of food was wedged where it should not have been. I would highly recommend that you test it/watch it feed before you leave for an extended time. The plastic separator can be removed for cleaning so you can make sure food has not gotten wedged. Other than this, assuming it functions properly going forward, I still love this feeder. My turtle loves to eat. I am going to be away and needed to figure out a way to keep her fed. I thought the food slots in this feeder were very small but due to the positive reviews, I decided to risk it. This device is great. Food slots are the perfect size and I love the options to select how often and how much to feed. You will need to simultaneously hold the up/ down arrows to select the days to feed. The system is shipped in the default mode, feeding every day.

Feeds Algae Wafers If…
I bought this feeder for my pleco after my sister got tired of coming over to feed him during my longer vacations. I bought it specifically because I read it could handle algae wafers. The feeder was easily to charge and easy to set (with directions). I didn’t trust the suction cups to stay for several days, so I fiddled with the feeder until it perched on the edge of my tank. I had to leave the top open, but such is life. I tested it for a week before the trip and found out two very important things: Make sure the feeder is level, and prepare the wafers. The wafers got jammed up in my trial runs and never fell into the water. I tried breaking them in half and the same thing happened. It was only when I broke them into small pieces that the feeder successfully dumped them into the tank. I took off one star for the hassle, but I’m still happy to report that I came home from vacation to a fed pleco and a feeder that did its job.

Didn't work for tiny pellets, but it would be great for larger food.
I honestly don't know what to say about this device. I set everything up according to the manual so that it would feed my nano tank every other day at 5 pm. I configured the smart power strip to cut the filter at 4:58 every day for 10 minutes. The power strip did it's thing just fine, but I came back from my 5 day trip to see all of the food compartments still full. I'm glad that it wasn't a longer trip. I pressed manual mode just for the sake of it, and heart the quiet noise of it rotating. I then noticed that the micropellets that I'd placed into the feeding compartment were sticking to the plastic separator. I'm guessing that it was just the nature of the humid air coming from the tank opening. I don't really know that any feeder would have been able to do significantly better unless it implemented some form of auger to make sure that the tiny pellets didn't stick on. Oh well. I guess I need bigger fish that eat bigger food if I want an automated feeder to work. I will say that the multiple mounting options were pretty cool and the compartments were easy to clean out prior to me returning it. It would definitely be a great feeder for medium or large pellets, but I think the humidity issue could have a clumping affect if using flake food. It's a pretty good value with the number of compartments and the timing intervals you can setup, but it just didn't work out for my use case.

Perfect for Vacation Feeding with Long-Lasting Battery!
The Petbank Automatic Fish Feeder for Aquarium is an absolute lifesaver, especially when you're planning to go on vacation. This auto fish food dispenser is great because you can set it to feed your fish up to 4 times a day. I have a 20-gallon fish tank with only 2 clownfish, so I do small feedings and control the amount of food in each feeding. It's been working perfectly for us. One of the standout features of this feeder is its long-lasting battery. After a full charge, the battery lasts for a couple of months, which is fantastic. You don’t have to worry about recharging it frequently, making it ideal for extended trips. Setting it up is quite easy, thanks to the USB charger cable included. The feeder has slips you can stick on the edge of the tank, ensuring it stays securely in place. No more worries about your fish going hungry while you're away! A few additional pros: Customization: The ability to set four different feeding times a day is a huge plus. It allows for flexibility and ensures your fish are well-fed throughout the day. Controlled Portions: You can easily control the amount of food dispensed, which is great for preventing overfeeding. Durability: The build quality seems sturdy and reliable, promising long-term use. However, here is a minor con: Edge Fit: While the slips are a great addition, they might not fit perfectly on all tank types, so make sure to check compatibility. Overall, the Petbank Automatic Fish Feeder is a fantastic investment for any fish owner. It’s perfect for vacations and ensures that your aquatic friends are well-fed even when you’re not around. Highly recommend for peace of mind and happy fish! Edit: added a video of the rotation in action. I'm going on vacation and don't want my salt water fishes to go hungry. If this review helped please give it a like :)
