I bought this alongside other kits for homeschool science and lets just say the quality and versatility of the assorted gear sets are a tinkerer's dream. The amount of fun we have learning with these kits makes it all worth it. The variety of pieces are durable and well-crafted.

Good, lots of different types of wheels. not really clear what they are for, would benefit from more instructions. For instance some colors seem tighter than others, are the latter supposed to be free spinning ? Another point is that they aren't very solid, and definitely don't stay in place when used with a high torque motor.

Used for a solar sprint derby car. Easy to use with a couple of options for purpose.

I bought this set hoping to use these gears on a small project, but the description for it is vague and confusing (describing the spur gears as pulleys, for example), so I used the images provided to guess what size and kind of gears were included. I assumed it had multiples of similar sized gears, but unfortunately it doesn't have more than 1 of each size of the gears provided. A more accurate description would have saved me time and money. Returning it seems pointless, as the product is barely described at all, let alone whether or not it's actually correct. Thankfully, it's cheap so I'm not out too much money.

Ordered this to fix an old toy, did the trick, reasonable price.

I wired a couple of 9V batteries in series to power the little motor with a worm gear and a gear on the rearaxle and used the axles and tires from the kit to make a pretty cool derby car for the "anything goes" class of racing. The race is tomorrow, I hope it stays on the track. This is a fun kit to be creative with any engineering project I suppose.

I prototype a lot of things and these parts are good enough to "make it work". They would be fun for kids or just tinkering, but if you're looking for something that will last, this is not it. Great for what they are, cheap gears. I'll buy more!
