A brilliant DCC sound decoder. Bought four of them in various pin connectors. It's an affordable upgrade route for both old and new locomotives. The only caveat is they are fairly large with the Bluetooth built on to the chip.So won't fit everything. The function and sound quality are first class for the price, with well over one hundred sound files to choose from, with up to twenty eight individual sounds per file. Hornby are constantly updating the locos covered which shows full commitment,so more to come. Android or Apple phones have a app to download and after you've done it once, it becomes a very straightforward process. Sound is of a very high standard and I've not been disappointed. A speaker and sound enclosure are included, with various enclosure to suit the size of space available. Once chosen fit the supplied self adhesive speaker and glue round the base of the enclosure while downloading the files from Hornby.This will give you something to do whilst you download the files ,up to half an hour is required when the server is busy. You'll need a simple account set up with Hornby and your away. A clever automated sound setting on one of the functions let's the loco go through a variety of sound samples whilst under power,a great touch. Value for money.

Kwaliteit voor een relatief lage prijs. Deze decoder is heel eenvoudig te installeren, en komt met een eigen plug-in speaker met diverse maten van behuizingen, aanpasbaar voor de locomotief naar keuze. Met de DCC-app is het geluidsprofiel naar keuze snel geïnstalleerd, en dan kan je volop gebruik maken van zowel de app als een installatie naar keuze. Ondertussen al een dozijn in gebruik. Voorlopig zijn de profielen nog beperkt tot Britse locomotieven.

Si vous n'avez pas de centrale DCC, vous pouvez faire comme si il y en avait une grâce au Bluetooth. Un transfo DC (courant continue) 14 volts fait le job. Et si vous avez une centrale, c'est compatible avec le DCC. Même si les sons sont anglais, on trouve un profil assez près de nos machines. Et à moins de 54€ le décodeur avec le son, c'est vraiment interessant. A la maison je tourne en DCC avec la centrale Z21, et au club, en DC avec le Bluetooth.

These are so cool. Install in your Loco and then connect it to the Hornby DCC App (important, don't use the old DC App) and then you can upload different sound file sets to the decoder - Steam, Diesel and one Electric Class 71 currently. Only iPhone app so far but Android is coming very soon apparently. Comes with the decoder, a sugar cube speaker with a small plug and 7 different size enclosures (baffles) for the speaker.
