Review: DC to the rescue! - The cat and Hayley Mills steal the show in this very funny Disney film, also featuring Dean Jones as an inept yet very enthusiastic FBI agent, who is involved in the life of Hayley Mills when DC (Darn Cat) returns from one of his regular sorties in the big, bad world with what Hayley sees as a clue to a recent crime. The sequence of events which unfold after she contacts the FBI (is it really that easy?) is portrayed as part slapstick involving the hapless and very human Dean Jones and the perpetrators of the crime (naturally bungling idiots!) and part satire on an easily understood level. A typical Disney film of the era when Hayley Mills was being featured as she was moving from child star status to movies which showed not only her flair for comedy, but also others to follow which showed her dramatic ability as well, eg The Moonspinners and The Family Way, and the scarey Twisted Nerve. Overall, That Darn Cat is an extremely funny movie for the whole family, one which had me chuckling constantly and at times laughing loudly at the antics of DC and his humans. Thoroughly recommended.

### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ a class peice of film with a great feel

brilliant classic movie, not as well known as some but all the same this film is worth a buy, it is atmospheric and has an easy to follow plot, good feel film with a cat in it for cat lovers, and a fantastic disney cameo for dean jones, and also hayley mills last disney film so it was a film of meetings and partings, not to forget the riddler is in this film. but not as the riddler, frank gorshin is acting a crook. anyway the slapstick is good and the laughs are there with a nice grin upon your face and a feeling of a small amount of money has been well spent. i am very happy with this film and will not be parting with it hope they make it 3d bluray ( doubt it but be nice) anyway i loved it you will too
