Review: Perfect as a silent Media Server - My aim is to have a small form factor PC under the television in the lounge that was as near silent as possible and allowed me to do general PC work such as playing music, media and web browsing, as well as running old school emulators. I pondered over all the different types of small PC available on desertcart, with a budget of £300, and eventually settled on the Kingdel. I bought the i5 with 16GB of RAM and 256GB drive. I have been using this for a week now and can say it is the best small form factor PC I have owned. The problem you tend to get with SFF PCs is overheating. I have experienced this with Acer Inspire L100 and L5100 PCs. They have the fans running full pelt after about 15 minutes, so become noisy. I have also tried the Lenovo Ideacentre 300 stick PC, but that went back after a month thanks to a failed BIOS upgrade. That's where this PC has nailed it; it is silent. Totally. Yes the aluminium casing gets hot, but with its many low profile fins it is designed to be a heat-sink and works beautifully. The processor holds at about 45 degrees C when it is under load. It has not overheated, it transfers the heat very efficiently to the casing. I have this beside my lounge television, where it acts as a media server as well as for web browsing and playing games. The i5 core makes light work of most tasks. Utilising an Intel chipset, it has HD4000 graphics embedded. This is more than adequate for media streaming, but can only play simple games. It will play things like Crossy Road, and MAME emulators, but lets face it, you won't get Gears of War 4 to run. But that is a side issue, because I didn't buy this PC for gaming, I bought it to allow me to media stream effortlessly from my home server. There are plenty of connectors on the device, both USB2 (x2) and USB3 (x4), as well as HDMI, VGA, RJ45 Ethernet connection, a 3.5mm stereo out socket and a 3.5mm microphone socket. Two antennae are also supplied if you wish to connect wirelessly. The front of the device has a small circular power button which is the same colour as the casing and a small blue LED on light, which is a subtle brightness rather than a blinding blue that you can get on some devices. The PC comes with Windows 10 Pro installed, which worked out of the box for me. The SG Hynix 256GB drive is ample room for what I need. The seller is courteous and replies quickly. I received the item a few days before the stated delivery date on desertcart. Please bear in mind this does come from Hong Kong, but if you are on Prime, the delivery is free. There will also be a customs charge placed on the device. The seller will refund you the amount once you forwarded a receipt of payment for the charge. Review: Disappointed - Graphics are weak and won’t update. In particular won’t do 5K2K. Booting difficult. Runs out usb resources too quickly.

Another happy customer.
I am very happy with this purchase. I am not technically minded, so won't go into any detailed review of the performance as others can do this far better, however, the machine meets/exceeds my expectations. It is, as advertised, 100% silent and looks and feels well made. It was a breeze to set up, taking only minutes and works like a dream. I love the minimalist look and the fact it takes up only a tiny footprint on my desk. The seller's communications before, during and after the sale were excellent with messages answered promptly. I contacted him via Amazon to request bluetooth be added to the spec and this was done at very minimal charge via a PayPal transfer. The refund of the customs duty was made very quickly once I had provided a copy of the receipt. Given my experience with this purchase I have no hesitation in recommending this product and this seller and intend to use them again myself if I am in the market for another pc.

Just over 2 years of life
Just over 2 years old and it stopped working - it does not power up. Likely to be a CPU issue as the power cable was exchanges to new one.

Soundcard Issues
Overall very impressed. Solid build, fast enough for streaming and casting to my Android TV and running twin desktops simultaneously - home and work via Citrix VPN connection. Quiet apart from an occasional buzz which is barely noticeable compared to the loud fan PC it replaced. Two gripes: (1) no user manual. whether paper or online, so I have no idea what the assorted collection of mysterious connectors supplied are for. They will go in the bin (probably regret this in 2-3 years time!) (2) speakers / headphones do not work via audio jack port. Win 11 says no sound card detected. Kingdel support was prompt but useless. (a) "Update the driver" is no use if the device is simply not detected. (b) "if that doesn't work google it and let us know how you get on". Solved with a USB/Jack adapter (£4.59) which is fine but used my last USB port so I will need to buy a splitter / hub or swap connections whenever I want to use headphones e.g. for online meetings.

Dissapointed not as good as the reviews would have you believe
OK I got this because of all the reviews etc and I was having a few problems with my five year old lenovo idea centre , where to begin i have had it on for just over 3 hours ,so this is first impressions only it has crashed twice with a black screen leaving programs ,it has a sdd drive installed and 16 GB ram but it is slower then my 5 year old lonovo that cost 199:00 UK pounds , very disappointing it took a age to install kodi and then it crashed 6.1 version and 8.3 this is not a great start ,I understand this is a little box but cost over 400 quid so far I have not been wowed with it and at this rate it will be returned as so far the performance is not good ,I expected a lot better for the price ,maybe I am being to harsh but I already feel that this will be going back if only my lenovo ,was not on the way out ,but nothing lasts forevere

Small, Fast and Silent
Purchased the I5-4200U 16gb model to set up a few Hyper-V instances. Was plugged in and ready to go in a couple of minutes, and Windows was activated without any issues. The PC is small, fast and silent, and hardly generates any heat, despite being powered on for the last two days. Have since created multiple Hyper-V instances using various operating systems, and installed packages such as SQL Server 2019 running with 8GB with no loss of stability on the host machine, which had approx. 3.9gb left when running the Hyper-V instance. The RAM and mSata card can both be upgraded, and 2.5" SSD's can also be added. The only negative point for me was the DDR3 RAM as this seems costly to upgrade, but there are several other models that use DDR4, so five stars out of five for me, and I would recommend this for anyone looking to replace an I5 desktop with a smaller unit while retaining the same performance.

Run Silent, Run Fast
Practically silent and boots up incredibly quickly. No problems setting up (Windows 10 was pre-installed) and, despite no fan, no issues with heat. At only £400 this is the best PC I have ever bought. Has plenyty of USB ports as well as HDMI or VGA for connecting to monitor I had to pay £20 import duty to the delivery driver but this was very quickly refunded by the seller. Before purchasing, I was sceptical about the lack of a fan and having to pay import duty on delivery ... but the glowing customer reviews have been confirmed and the prompt refund of import duty from the seller have meant I am a very satisfied customer.

Good Bang for the Buck
I'm glad I bought this. It's sturdy and well made. Everything worked well out of the box. Except, of course, it's pre-loaded with Windows 10, which is always problematic. In this case, it Windows 10 booted to a black screen until I connected the monitor to the VGA connection instead of the HDMI connection. If I hadn't tried the VGA connection, I probably would have sent the unit back as defective. So, live and learn. I installed Linux Mint on the 256gb internal SSD in a dual boot configuration beside the Windows 10 OS that it came with. If you're going to do this (and I highly recommend it!) then, be advised that Windows 10 doesn't shut down when you shut it down. Instead it goes into "Hibernation" and locks it's partition and/or drive. So the Linux installation can't proceed properly until you go into Windows and disable the hibernation 'feature'. You do this by opening up a Windows command prompt in Administrator mode and typing in the "powercfg -h off" command. I hope I remembered the command syntax correctly, if you get an error, just google it. So, anyway, it's perfectly compatible with Linux Mate 18.3. And likely most other Linux distros as well. Bottom line = powerful, little, well made, mini desktop computer! I'd recommend it.

Funcionó bien unos meses, después empezó a dar problemas
