The larger bits just make a mess. The larger sized ones in this set still only have 4 "ridges" i would call them, which has huge gaps in between each one. So when they spin they just bounce around in your hole rather than bore it out. When you are done you have a square with rounded corners rather than round finish divot. If the larger ones had maybe 6 or 8 ridges, almost like an allen or torx wrench, or were more twisted (S-shaped ridges) i think that would leave much smoother holes. That being said, a high power corded drill might leave smoother holes, but you would have to be super careful not to drill too deep. This could all very well be an issue with any comparable version of these, but I only have experience with this set. ### ⭐ Not actually sharp *by M***Y on Reviewed in the United States on May 4, 2019* Clearly just cast bits with gold coating. The edges are not machined so they are rounded and dull right out of the package. I only had to counter sink a couple of holes in plywood so I didn't want to spend money on proper bits.
