It props the front of my bite open 3/4 of an inch which is uncomfortable for being awake much less sleeping. And it extends well beyond what my lips will cover.The thermoplastic trays cannot be worn without the rigid plastic trays which are enormous. Unfortunately, it's so bulky, you can't really wear it. I recently had an acrylic piece made by a periodontist, and just like I read here, it intensified my clenching something horrible. I thought I'd give this a try bc it seems like a great design. As directed, I boiled some water, made the impressions and realized right away that it's just too big. My hygienist has commented several times how small my mouth is, so maybe this is an issue that someone with a larger mouth won't have. It's not so much the maliable pieces, but the plastic pieces you must wear also that make it so bulky for me. As you can see in the pics, it's just not for me. I'd return it if I could. But other than that I feel like if I try again it would do better.
