This version of the MIDI BoB is a fully assemble board. The PCB provides an optically isolated MIDI I/O (Input and Output) signal and power. There are mounting also holes in the PCB for a more permanent installation. An example Arduino sketch is available on the manufacturers website which will get you up and running quickly. MIDI Breakout MV is similar to the old EZ. However, the MV includes a switch allowing you to select 5V or 3.3V levels. Review: I love this board - It works perfectly and is really convenient. I like the switch for 3.3V or 5V. I use it for prototyping with Arduino, esp32, and RPi controllers. It would be cool to be able to buy these in bulk. Review: Pins sticking through shopping envelope. - When this item was shipped to me, it was shipped with four of the pins sticking through its envelope, meaning it is likely damaged.
