I'd say they're heavy in the bass and mid tones, which is something I prefer, as I find myself more sensitive to tinny/treble sounds. I got these used. My only issue is that the red wire connection clamp is sort of broken. I have it fixed at the moment, but the grip is a bit tenuous.
