good flavor, good size

I use these to enhance my BBQ blend, and I found that the top portion has a weak flavor and smell. However, when I discard the top portion, the smoky BBQ aroma is fantastic. It seems that the top portion might have been compromised by exposure to air. Aside from that, it’s a great smoky powder that improves any seasoning.

Good product and price.

I've had this hickory smoke powder for several weeks but finally got the opportunity to use it for an oven roasted pork butt. I added one (1) rounded teaspoon of this to three (3) rounded tablespoons of barbecue rub, mixed all together and then rubbed the meat and let it sit covered overnight in the refrigerator . It did great, but I think the next time I do a butt in the oven I will double the amount of the hickory smoke powder to the same amount of rub I used previously. I did transfer my smoke powder to a quart Mason jar and sealed it with a metal lid as the plastic jar it came in is not air tight. I don't want it to lose any of its' potency sitting on a shelf.

Great produce , good smoke flavored and aroma . Decently priced. Can even use this in your shake for fried chicken. I will buy this again when the need be .
