Love this cage for my ZV-E1. The grip is great and the build quality overall is is superb. Easy to connect attachments so that I can mount with ease. Smallrig designs great camera accessories around the board and this cage is an easy choice! Don’t overthink it. Pull the trigger.

Great quality, mounted to my ZV-E1 with no issue, great design, protects my rig and has great options for mounting and grip. Can’t feel a noticeable difference in weight.

This is the first accessory other than a lens you should buy for your ZV-E1. It fits perfectly, barely weighs anything and allows you to attach just about anything to your rig. It feels high quality and it seems like a steal at the price point they offer them. The design allows you to attach grips, lights, mics or anything else you need.

This thing is terrific, solid and well built. HOWEVER please note that it is NOT compatible with the newer Sony ZV-1, called different things on different web sites: the Sony ZV-1 Mark 2 or ZV-1 M2 or ZV-1 II. I know this is super confusing because some cages are advertised as working with either the original ZV-1 or the newer one, so I assumed this one would as well --but the bottom screw is about 1/2 inch off where it would need to be to make this work. I'm giving it 5 stars for what the product is and how it was intended to work with the original Zv-1 which is still being sold for a slightly cheaper price than the "Mark 2".

Loved it works great

I love the grip on this cage. The mounting points an included Micro-HDMI cable are important. It has a side mounted Arca type plate built into the bottom to work with the Smallrig V-mount plate (works with the Neewer version too). My only con so far is the design on the top center and left. I'm sure it was some sort of tradeoff, but the mount for the top handle really only works for an ARRI style if you want to use the Sony digital mics. The frame also is 1-2mm to far in to allow the DJI MIc 2 camera adapter to fully seat in place. This area is also so thin that didn't want to file any away to make room. I'm loving it now and just resigned myself to using wireless receivers with a cable. One tip. Get side handles that allow for up/down adjustment.

Sony Ev-Z1 is a great camera; yet the design for hand grip is a little bit small; this rig help it with a bigger grip; now I can have a good hold to the grip; make me feel more stable hold of the camera

Great camera cage! Easy to assemble and attach to the camera. Adds a nice weight to the camera which feels better since the body is so light. You can access all the ports, card slots and battery slot while in use. The silicone grip makes the camera easier to hold for people who have larger hands! Very pleased with the product!

Ich habe mir das SMALLRIG ZV-E1 Cage Kit gekauft, da ich meine Sony ZV-E1 für Videoaufnahmen mit Monitoren und Griffen erweitern wollte. Und ich muss sagen: Der Käfig ist hervorragend verarbeitet, bietet viele Montagemöglichkeiten und liegt dank des Silikongriffs super in der Hand. Verarbeitung & Passform Der Cage passt perfekt auf die ZV-E1 – alles sitzt fest und sicher, ohne die Kamera unnötig zu vergrößern. Die Verarbeitung ist hochwertig, das Aluminium fühlt sich robust an, und das Gewicht ist angenehm leicht. Der Silikongriff an der rechten Seite ist ein großes Plus, da er den Halt deutlich verbessert, besonders bei längeren Drehs. Montagemöglichkeiten & Zubehör Es gibt genug 1/4"- und 3/8"-Gewinde sowie eine NATO-Schiene, um Zubehör wie Griffe, Mikrofone oder Monitore zu befestigen. Die HDMI-Kabelklemme ist ein kleines, aber sehr nützliches Detail – sie schützt den Anschluss zuverlässig und verhindert Wackelkontakte, was gerade bei externen Monitoren oder Recordern wichtig ist. Handhabung & Ergonomie Der Käfig schränkt die Bedienbarkeit der Kamera kein bisschen ein – alle Tasten, das Display und der Akku sind weiterhin leicht zugänglich.
