I like the slanted shape of the color stick itself, makes application easier and more natural-looking. The color I ordered is taupe (hard to find, thank you NYX). It is a decent taupe, not reddish, which was a concern of mine. Especially for the low price, this brow pencil is excellent. It applies pretty smoothly, certainly as smoothly as any brow pencil I've tried. As for coverage, the same - no better or worse than any of the brow pencils I've tried. I always use cheap, clear mascara to set my brows after I apply pencil. Like all the brow products I've used, this one does tend to darken after some hours, but not markedly so. I love Anastasia Brow Pomade in taupe, but it is a process to apply and it darkens a lot after a while. It does, however last for months. I can't see the NYX brow pencil lasting for a very long time, but at such a low price, I definitely recommend this product. ***Update: I am impressed. I use this product 4 times/week and there is plenty left almost 3 months after purchase! Upgrade from 4 stars to 5! They're almost always sold out of that color at Ulta. I've tried Benefit's eyebrow pencil, and these are better - the rectangular shape makes it easy to outline and/or draw a slim tail, and if you turn it sideways, gives a broad stroke to help fill in. My only complaint is that you need to be careful how much pencil you push out, because it can break off.
