Invaluable for charging batteries loacated in areas subject to wide temp swings, like the younge of a travel trailer.  A Victron smart Battery monitor paired with a smart Victron MPPT Solar controller will give the batteries a temperature compensates charge rate.  More stored power with less battery damage.

Installed this on my travel trailer and it is being used with a BMV -712 even though there is a sticker that says it's for the 702 only. Works as expected, no issues.
