Great Book! I love the way the author puts brilliant twists into her story's, I actually read the first book in the series The Housemaid and it was so good I brought the other two. This book is fast paced and I found it addictive just like the 1st Book, I was hooked by the short chapters and gripping page-turning qualities, satisfying twists and I love the mid-point revelations and the signature plot flips that this author is known for. I really could not put this book down and looking forward to the third one. I honestly must admit that here on Amazon this was the cheapest place that I found to buy books they were only £5 instead of nearly £10 so definitely well worth the money Totally recommend this series of 3 Books... 1. This book was different enough from the first book to keep my attention and wasn’t predictable in the way some second books in a series can be. I really enjoyed it and look forward to reading the third!

What a brilliant book and written so well. The 1st book 'The Housemaid' had a great twist to it, this book had several twists, loved it. I found it really hard to put the book down.

After absolutely loving The Housemaid, I went straight into The Housemaid’s Secret with high expectations. Unfortunately, it just didn’t have the same impact. The story was still an easy, fast-paced read, and I flew through it, but I found the plot much more predictable this time around. The twists didn’t have the same shock factor as the first book, and I felt like I was always waiting for something bigger to happen. I also struggled to connect with the characters in the same way. While there were moments of suspense, they never quite built to the level of tension I’d been hoping for, especially after such a strong first instalment. Overall, it wasn’t a bad read by any means- it just suffered from being compared to a book I thought was excellent. If I hadn’t read The Housemaid first, I may have rated it a little higher, but as a sequel it felt like it was missing the suspense and wow factor that made the original so addictive

I was a bit apprehensive about this book, mainly because I didn’t see where it could go after the first one. But I still enjoyed it, it had the suspense and the nice little plot twists, however I did see them coming in this one. Millie is helping women who have found themselves in hardship due to men treating them badly, she and Enzo help out these Women by getting them away from their partners by any means necessary. After Enzo left for Italy to help his mother, she was left alone to sort out work, and now it’s just her she just wants normal cleaning jobs, she manages to get a job with a very rich couple, cleaning and cooking for them, but she barely sees the wife, Wendy. She’s always locked away in a room, and Millie wants to find out why. Freida is brilliant at storytelling, I love how she does these books in parts, it reminds me of gone girl, when the first half is one POV and then the second half is another POV, it really ties up those loose ends. If you liked the housemaid, then you will enjoy this continuation.

Replenished this read .twisting g at the end but we'll written .MIllie has a tough life always getting herself into trouble to protect women she feels deserve it but not everyone does .

Wow. What a thriller. I would always read books before movies. But I’m not watching any movies from Freida. Because her books are fantastic and kept me fully hooked. I’ve gone down a spiral of reading more of hers. Unbelievable writing!

Compared to the previous book, this one offered a more unpredictable plot, with a conclusion that caught me off guard. I especially appreciated the subtle details woven into the final lines, leaving a lasting impression. Freida masterfully crafted a completely different housewife character, one I found myself disliking from the start. Yet, I ended up questioning my feelings, much like I did with the housewife in her first book. I loved how she turned the narrative around, making this sequel feel fresh and distinct from the first, while still delivering the same captivating suspense.
