EVEREST Violin Shoulder Rest 4/4, Black, most comfortable shoulder rest. Also fits 14" and 13" viola Review: Very good! - The size was exactly what I needed, it was definitely worth buying. It stayed on my violin the whole performance with no issues. Review: Finally - I've finally found a shoulder rest that works for me. I tried a Kun many years ago, too narrow. Switched to a Wolf, and found that it kept falling off. Struggled with that one for several years. As a result, I stopped using shoulder rests and switched to a beginner's shoulder pad, basically. I wasn't thrilled with that, but I got used to it. I was jamming last weekend and tried someone else's fiddle for a minute, and it all felt right -- I asked him about his shoulder rest and he said it was "A Himalaya... no, an Everest." I ordered it the first chance I got. Mine arrived today and it is perfect for me -- holds the fiddle tightly, no slipping at all, and feels good on my shoulder. Add on the fact that it is inexpensive, and I'm giving it five stars. ## Technical Specifications | Specification | Value | |---------------|-------| | ASIN | B0775Z5443 | | Back Material Type | Acrylonitrile Butadiene Styrene | | Best Sellers Rank | #305 in Musical Instruments ( See Top 100 in Musical Instruments ) #2 in Violin Shoulder & Chin Rests | | Body Material Type | ABS material | | Brand | EVEREST | | Brand Name | EVEREST | | Color | Original Version | | Customer Reviews | 4.6 out of 5 stars 2,211 Reviews | | Finish Type | Varnish | | Included Components | Shoulder Rest | | Instrument | Violin | | Instrument Size | 1 Inch to 0.75 Inch | | Item Dimensions | 8 x 2 x 2.25 inches | | Item Weight | 3.2 ounces | | Item dimensions L x W x H | 8 x 2 x 2.25 inches | | Manufacturer | Everest | | Manufacturer Part Number | EZ4A | | Material Type | ABS material | | Model Name | EZ-4A | | Model Number | EZ - 4A | | Number of Items | 1 | | Number of Strings | 4 | | Operation Mode | Manual | | Size | 1 Inch to 0.75 Inch | | String Material Type | Alloy Steel | | Top Material Type | Spare Wood | | UPC | 719578452691 | ## Product Details - **Back Material Type:** Acrylonitrile Butadiene Styrene - **Brand:** EVEREST - **Color:** Original Version - **Finish Type:** Varnish - **Instrument:** Violin - **Item Weight:** 3.2 ounces - **Item dimensions L x W x H:** 8 x 2 x 2.25 inches - **Size:** 1 Inch to 0.75 Inch - **String Material Type:** Alloy Steel - **Top Material Type:** Spare Wood ## Images ![EVEREST EZ-4A Violin Shoulder Rest 4/4 Size - Adjustable to 3/4 Size - Image 1](https://m.media-amazon.com/images/I/31RTVpKAY4L.jpg) ![EVEREST EZ-4A Violin Shoulder Rest 4/4 Size - Adjustable to 3/4 Size - Image 2](https://m.media-amazon.com/images/I/51gbOevaWIL.jpg) ## Available Options This product comes in different **Color, Size** options. ## Questions & Answers **Q: What should I use for a 13 " viola ???** A: 13" viola is similar to 4/4 -3/4 violin. Product description says "This standard EVEREST Shoulder Rest is our most popular model, fits 4/4 size violin and adjustable to 3/4 size violin. EVEREST Violin Shoulder Rest 4/4, Black, most comfortable shoulder rest. Also fits 14" and 13" viola" **Q: how low or high does it adjust? what is the range?** A: Sorry. That was suppose to say a 1/2 an inch range! Approximately! **Q: I have a short neck. Is this low profile?** A: The height can be adjusted. I also have a short neck, and I had to raise it a bit. I am very pleased with it **Q: does it has plastic pieces? I'm worried it may broke** A: Yes -- this shoulder rest is made of sturdy plastic. It's difficult to damage or break and is surprisingly tough; it even stands up well to careless student use. ## Customer Reviews ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Very good! *by L***R on July 9, 2026* The size was exactly what I needed, it was definitely worth buying. It stayed on my violin the whole performance with no issues. ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Finally *by ♫***♫ on July 22, 2021* I've finally found a shoulder rest that works for me. I was jamming last weekend and tried someone else's fiddle for a minute, and it all felt right -- I asked him about his shoulder rest and he said it was "A Himalaya... no, an Everest." Add on the fact that it is inexpensive, and I'm giving it five stars. ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Best shoulder rest I've had in 30 years of playing *by A***R on December 5, 2020* I was guided to this rest by my classically trained violin instructor from whom I'm learning Scottish fiddle. This Everest rest has a slightly greater curve which fits my body shape and also comes with attachment pads which grip the fiddle better than the other brands (I've tried most of them); because of the feet it can be placed at the rear of the fiddle and not fall off when placed on a stand; as a result I can lower the legs so that the fiddle and rest can snuggle into my neck/clavicle region. I'm very impressed, (I've been a fiddler (not a violinist) for nearly 30 years) and recently have been working to learn Scottish fiddle which for me requires developing my ability to work with notation and practice playing with more classically based posture and left hand/arm positions. This new rest has enabled a more relaxed posture and I'm able to practice with less stress in my jaw and neck. I also discovered new resonance from the fiddle which I really enjoy. I marked the sturdiness a 4 because it's too soon to know how it'll do over years of use. ## Frequently Bought Together - EVEREST EZ-4A Violin Shoulder Rest 4/4 Size - Adjustable to 3/4 Size - D'Addario Violin Rosin - Cello Rosin - Natural Rosin Violin, Light - D'Addario Prelude Violin String Set, 4/4 Scale, Medium Tension – J810 4/4M - Solid Steel Core, Warm Tone, Economical and Durable – Educator’s Choice for Student Strings – 1 Set --- ## Why Shop on Desertcart? - 🛒 **Trusted by 1.3+ Million Shoppers** — Serving international shoppers since 2016 - 🌍 **Shop Globally** — Access 737+ million products across 21 categories - 💰 **No Hidden Fees** — All customs, duties, and taxes included in the price - 🔄 **15-Day Free Returns** — Hassle-free returns (30 days for PRO members) - 🔒 **Secure Payments** — Trusted payment options with buyer protection - ⭐ **TrustPilot Rated 4.5/5** — Based on 8,000+ happy customer reviews **Shop now:** [https://www.desertcart.in/products/53906414-everest-ez-4a-violin-shoulder-rest-4-4-size-adjustable](https://www.desertcart.in/products/53906414-everest-ez-4a-violin-shoulder-rest-4-4-size-adjustable) --- *Product available on Desertcart India* *Store origin: IN* *Last updated: 2026-10-02*
