Introduction RP2040-Matrix is a Pico-like MCU board based on Raspberry Pi RP2040. This castellated module allows soldering directly to carrier boards, adapting 20 x multi-function GPIO pins in this mini board. Onboard 5*5 RGB LEDs are for colorful lighting displays or simple images. Castellated module, suitable for SMD applications.  Board specifications 1) RP2040 microcontroller chip designed by Raspberry Pi in the United Kingdom. 2) Dual-core Arm Cortex M0+ processor, flexible clock running up to 133 MHz. 3) 264KB of SRAM, and 2MB of on-board Flash memory. 4) Onboard 5 × 5 RGB LED matrix for colorful lighting display. 5) Castellated module allows soldering direct to carrier boards. 6) USB 1.1 with device and host support. 7) Low-power sleep and dormant modes. 8) Drag-and-drop programming using mass storage over USB. 9) 20 × multi-function GPIO pins. 10) 2 × SPI, 2 × I2C, 2 × UART, 4 × 12-bit ADC, 16 × controllable PWM channels. 11) Accurate clock and timer on-chip. 12) Temperature sensor. 13) Accelerated floating-point libraries on-chip. 14) 8 × Programmable I/O (PIO) state machines for custom peripheral support. ### ⭐ It was fine for 5 minutes, then a segment started flickering and got stuck.

Neat little board, tiny, the LED patch covers about a cm^3. I have a bunch of rp2040s and just wanted something convenient.However, a few minutes after having it plugged, before I even got to programming it, an LED developed a flicker and started getting stuck on. I thought, maybe it's just TX/RX.. Not that I like the differential wear that would cause, but now that I've programmed it to ensure the rp2040 isn't doing anything and had some time to watch it, the led flicker is obviously coupled to a power regulation issue and possibly an intermittent short.1 star because a 5 minute test would have caught this if they did any QC. I suppose I'll try reflowing it or frankensteining a dev board, but I paid 3x the cost of a usual rp2040 dev board to not have a hack. $15 simply isn't worth driving 20 miles to UPS to return this in time. I might try reflowing it. NEver again though, just make your hats people, you can replace them.
