Has the Manufacturer of the String package them and labelled them correctly I do not think they have. I found the Augustines quick to bed in, quicker than the d'Addarios fitted to my Alhambra 5P, and the tone is superb. The improvement on a relatively cheap 1980s Kimbara is quite significant. The price of these strings is very reasonable, but I had them on my wish list and when they dropped to half price (Β£3) I bought them. For most hobbyist musicians, these will be all the string you will ever need.UPDATE - March 2014Two of the D'Addario strings fitted to my Alhambra broke while the guitar was in the case - the Augustines are still going strong. I have been using them for some time now (around three weeks) and play every day. They play almost as well as when the guitar was first strung with them. There is some sign of wear and tear on the high E string, however. Although, I’m unsure if this particular string is faulty. This hasn’t affected the produced sound luckily. Would recommend buying these if you’re looking for a cheaper alternative to more expensive strings.
