Torch Lighters, 4 Pack, Butane Refillable Jet Flame Torch Lighter, Windproof, Safe, Multi Utility Lighter for Candles, Fireplaces, Campfires, Grill (Without Butane)

They didn't work for long but for the price I wasn't expecting much.

A friend recommended using a butane torch lighter to do soldering of larger gauge wire. Pictured is a test solder joint of 14 AVG multi-strand wire with shrink wrap applied. Also, outdoor wiring soldered using the same torch. I bought the torch lighters and a butane refill can (required as the torches do not come filled with butane) and performed a test solder joint using lead/tin eutectic solder and non-acidic flux. Within ten seconds the wire was heated enough to allow excellent reflow resulting in a well soldered solder connection. My 100W Weller soldering iron takes minutes to achieve the same result and is more cumbersome to use. The torch also heated shrink wrap effectively without scorching the insulation. I used the torch outside to solder wiring on my random wire HF antenna/ground system. It worked perfectly!

We would never buy this brand of torch again. It is dangerous and the description contains flat out lies. Problem #1 with these torches is that you are NOT able to adjust the flame size. They have a slider on the side which should do that but it simply does not work at all. The flame remains at full 100% no matter how you adjust the slider. On top of that the flame is needlessly longer than any torch we've ever used, like a full 1-2 inches longer and you cannot make it smaller. Suppose that would be a great "feature" if you really enjoy wasting as much fuel as possible. Lie #1. Problem #2 is even more dangerous: the flame will NOT immediately extinguish when you release the trigger. The flame will stay on from 1-5+ seconds after trigger release. You can NOT expect the flame to safely stop so you never can just release the trigger and set the torch down, unless you want to start a fire I guess. You have to hold it and wait for it to stop when it wants to - but never when it should. Lie #2. Problem #3 is that you can NOT intentionally lock the flame on, they lied about that one in the description too. We needed that very basic and common feature to use them for making jewelry and they are completely worthless for that task. Lie #3. On top of it all comes Lie #4 - which comes on the documentation inside the box. They claim to offer a 'support' email address - but only give you half of the address inside the doc - the actual full bogus support email address is on the back of the box they come in. Irritating is that they say 'If there's a problem do not return them. Just contact us via email and we will issue a refund or replacement in 6 hours for FREE.' Nope, lied about that one too. We wrote them days ago just to ask about the above safety problems and have yet to receive any sort of reply, and now don't expect to receive one. We think they are banking on the fact that once you've put fuel in them you cannot ship them back; you are stuck with unsafe torches sold through lies in the description and non-existent claims of support.

3 out of 4 work perfectly; the 4 th one hasn’t worked since the 2 nd day of use and the middle piece fell out of another torch. But $10 for 4 of the same torch lighter I would pay $9.99 and up for at the smoke shop is truly a terrific deal and well worth the money!!

Awesome little torches, they flow really well. They feel good in the hand if they have a very high capacity tank they're easy to use. And they are not too heavy. Perfect size. Awesome flame. Thank you very much for a job well done 🫡

2 out of 4 work flawlessly 3 out of 4 do not shut off immediately 1 out of 4 spits, is very inconsistent, and shuts off Flame size thing does NOT work on any on the 4 The lock works on all 4 Get whay you paid for 3 out of 4 are usable 2 out of 4 are safe for use Love the size of them and the flame size they offer(even though not adjustable) They are easy to use and refill. Durability is questionable. I would suggest spending a little more on the MK Branded lighters.

I have had a ton of these cheap lighters, some definitely better than others. These seem to be very good and very easy to fill. Pro tip: get the clear ones so you can see exactly when they're full (or empty) instead of guessing based on how much butane you're losing out the bottom. Make sure you bleed the air out before filling/refilling them. Good purchase and you won't lose a lot of sleep if TSA decides to take one out of your golf bag because they're in a bad mood.
