Being Omron it is, as expected, well made and simple to use (but reading instruction book is a must). It is comfortable to use (easily operated by one person on their own ear) gives a reading within one second and would appear to be accurate. A definite recommendation as it is more accurate, reliable and easier to use than the cheap digital ones bought from pharmacists. It may be more expensive but it WORKS! It may be more expensive but it WORKS! ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐ Four Stars *by R***B on 9 April 2015* As described - easy to use ### ⭐⭐ awkward *by R***C on 1 April 2012* There are so many of these thermometers on the market today that choosing one is not straightforward. However I chose this, because I have other Omron appliance which is superb, so I thought I could not go wrong. I can not vouch for its accuracy,(once you do get it to work),the instructions are vague,stating you get 4 beeps when it takes the measurement,however,you get 2 beeps,then you have to press the button to get the reading. getting it positioned in the right spot in the ear is a bit tricky and painfull, since you have to push it in to get any usefull results, and it does not work on your forehead. Its a nicely made insrument, but results are dissapointing.
