The unit does however have a maximum current load limit, for the Vac. In your case Vac/Transformer. This is a maximum load of 1500W. So you must ensure that the current draw of your Vac/Transformer combination does not exceed 1500W. **Q: My table saw is power is controlled by a NVR switch and doesn’t work with this unit?why? & is there a way around this?** A: The type of switch on your table saw should not matter, once the motor in your table saw is running the iVAC switch will detect the current flow and then turn your extractor on. Try operating your iVAC switch with another power tool(s) to confirm that it is working correctly. IVAC include a troubleshooting guide in the box - this will assist you in diagnosing the problem. NOTE: the iVAC switch will not work with an extractor fitted with an NVR or DOL switch. iVAC offer other products for NVR and DOL protected extractors - the iVAC Pro System. **Q: Under what circumstances would I need to use an earthing connection with this unit ?** A: The earth terminal on the iVAC Switch Box is for grounding accessories only - e.g. Cyclones, caddies and ducting. The number of times I would forget to turn on the vacuum and then be half way through a cut with no chance of going back. No special skills required, just plug it in and plug things into it. The box does the rest.
