In preparation for this task, I looked for this type of tool at the local auto part stores and found O-T-C tools that required other components and also, tool sets for this task for rental. This tool is a more than a positive alternative to both options at the auto parts store as it can be used for future projects. Prior to this project, I did acquire a 3/8" pin adapter for the rear piston from a performance parts store. This adapter along with the multitude of 3/8" sockets (for testing) did not completely fit over the end of the tool. I was able to wedge my pin adapter to end of this tool after hitting it a few times but was unable to move it after coming in contact with the bearing. Luckily, this combination worked. If my adapter would have been 2mm thicker or my pistons would have been out just a bit further, I would not have been able to get the tool into the caliber easily. For future use also, I may ruin my adapter hammering it off. For the 3/8" connection on the end of the tool not fitting properly, I am rating 4 stars. ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ 5.0 out of 5 stars Worked Well!! *by T***B on Reviewed in the United States on July 31, 2020* This tool worked perfectly for my 2012 Prius brakes. I used it to push in the front pistons and to turn in the rear pistons. The head connects like a socket to a 3/8" ratchet. You have the option of two sides. One side has the nibs closer together and on the other side they are farther apart. I had no issue turning this tool by hand, but, you also have the option to put a wrench on the end to turn it. This was my first time changing the brakes on this car. I watched a bunch of YouTube videos prior to performing the job. I saw folks successfully turn in the pistons with pliers, but after seeing them repeatedly slip out, I looked for a better method with less potential for me to hurt myself. It didnt work for me right out of the box since the two little prongs were too narrow to fit inside the caliper piston. I had to grind off some material, very little, to get it to work. Not a big deal for me since I have the means to do it, but something to keep in mind if trying to use it on this vehicle.
