Review: Great Sound, big battery, low price! - This little site radio has blown me away. I took a bit of a punt on it as there were no reviews at the time and it was significantly cheaper than the big brands - Matkita, Dewalt... The volume and sound quality are fantastic, it's shocking how much a compact radio can put out this much volume and bass, and it makes me wonder why the Makita work radio is so big??? I'm currently using it on a site 3 other trades around and I have no problem hearing it 3 rooms away. My tip to anybody reading this is to set your own EQ, it makes a huge difference. It picked up to 60 DAB stations in my area which is about standard for most other dab radios i've used. The Bluetooth works as it should, just connect the phone and start playing music. I've not tested the FM or line in as I have no use for them, the DAB and Bluetooth have rendered these pointless but it's nice to know that are there as an option. The battery life is great. I charged it overnight using my phone charger and after 4 days of constant use, it says 32% still remaining! It feels pretty solid and durable, it's already taken a few accidental knocks and kicks without any noticeable damage, i've not used it outside or in the wet yet but I would imagine it will hold up well there as well. Overall I'm hugely impressed as are others who have seen it, a fantastic site radio!

**Q: Does using the radio on the main power damage the battery?**
A: I wouldn't think so,  as it automatically switches from battery to mains when the power cable is connected and back to battery when the mains power is turned off,  plus the battery is integral, so couldn't be removed anyway. Hope this helps

**Q: How  long does the battery take to charge please?**
A: Sir, Madam, the battery does not take long to reach full capacity when charging and will last up to 18 hours. I think that this is one of the best that I have come across for working in my workshop.

**Q: What is the sound output 8 watts seems very low?**
A: Depends on where you are working, I don't think it was designed for an outdoor area of more than a standard back garden.

**Q: does it transmit bluetooth as well as receive**
A: Hello. Our Work Site Radio is not able to 'transmit' Bluetooth. It can receive Bluetooth from devices such as Phones, Tablets, Laptops and music can be streamed from these devices to the radio. Wasn't convinced at first this would be good due to its size, but pleased to say I was very wrong. It's simply brilliant, excellent battery life, great sound and hard as nails. Only criticism I have is it seems to take a very long time to charge from a USB.
