Yes. I use my Nut Chopper as a First Process to get almonds down to a size that my coffee bean grinder can handle to finally get the almonds down to powder. But the kibble pieces will be small. At first you might not notice but on both sides of the chopper wheel, the front, if grinding with the right hand, the slots are smaller and so you will get a finer grind by turning forward with the right hand, but the back side of the chopper the slots are larger for a coarser chop. SO my guess is that this would be a good fit for you, but use it with your left hand turning the crank forward and that will probably give you a chop with very little powder. **Q: Has anyone used this on mesquite beans?
