I'm on a hilltop, and can listen about 8 miles away in the car. I use the low power setting to avoid a visit from the FCC. There is some kind of RF or power feedback on the Audio In jack. I can feed audio to the transmitter from my laptop, but when I plug the 3.5mm jack into my classic ipod, it shuts my ipod down.
